know the damage of sin

Do you know the damage sin has brought into your life?

We struggle with sin because we do not fully understand the extent of damage. The damage caused to our soul and spirit. Jesus had to get down from Heaven to show us how to live everyday. Then, suffer and die on the cross to fulfil God’s word (John 3:16). It is the worst thing that’s ever happened to mankind.

Jesus opened our eyes and now we believe in the power of resurrection. It is by grace alone we are enabled to walk victoriously, daily.

What did sin do to us?

Sin’s effect was so deadly that our spirit was enslaved by the pleasures of the flesh. Our spiritual mind could not think for God anymore, it could only think for what the body needs. Additionally, we grew up in a worldly system that teaches us to live after the flesh – money, reputation, status, etc.

What is in the world? For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. (1 John 2:16)

The very things Jesus tells us not to pursue. Pursuing money brings with it hurtful lusts that end up giving Satan a stronghold. (1 Timothy 6:9)

Shine His light to know the damage

We cannot fight this fight. Without Jesus we cannot do anything (good). The fight against evil powers is impossible without the power of the blood, and the name of Jesus. We display spiritual immaturity when we sulk and brood over what’s been done. We need to grow in faith by submitting our lives to Jesus. Then, He will then fight our battles for us.

Staying in the light of God keeps darkness from entering our lives. Protects us from wicked dark forces that draw us into sin.

This daily stand for God prepares us for His soon coming.

Maranatha, Praise God.
