Always Be Ready For God To Move

Dr. A.

Truly being with the Lord isn’t a part-time, seasonal commitment. It is a full-time, 24/7 activity that requires a high degree of allegiance and obedience not just one time but all the time. We must surrender to Him and allow for His Will to be done.

God can move in ways that we sometimes don’t understand. All He wants is for us to give thanks in all circumstances because He is God, “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5:18.

We must trust in His plans because He is all knowing and all good and cares for us His words and teachings are direction for us, “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.” Psalm 119:105. Let’s not rely on our own understanding, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

God develops us and His plans are incorruptible, just which demands us to give Him thanks in everything that we do. Be ready for reprimands in your life because God makes us wiser by teaching strategies against the plans and thoughts of fools.

“Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is. Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Ephesians 5:15-20.

Brethren, listen carefully to this and never forget: The Lord has a plan for us all and He, in His Godly and incorruptible wisdom, will accomplish His goals for His glory through the ones who allow The Lord to work in their lives for the advancement of His kingdom.

God is always going to make a move in your life, especially if you make the wise commitment to surrender to His will and obey His commands. Never in a million years, I ever thought that my God would have take me away from Brazil to live my life in the United States. I must also admit that I never would have thought that my God would take me away from Pennsylvania after living there for 17 years, with established friends and family.

Now, my family and I live in South Carolina, after having lived in Mississippi, Tennessee, and Alabama after our time in Pennsylvania. It is crazy for many of our friends to witness our many moves but perfect to God in His will and framework for our family and for me as a Christian and leader.

It was in Mississippi that I was formally introduced to the intricacies of the black culture in the United States, something that I thank God for it to this day. I’ve learned a lot from African-American leaders in this country, especially about the media industry. I am so glad.

It was in Tennessee that the Lord trained me to deliver at least 300 prayers in my classrooms, to differentiate between a religious cult and a church that is legitimately an entity to advance God’s word instead of man’s pleasures. In Tennessee, the Lord made me a minister of His word for global outreach purposes and strengthened both my boldness in sometimes much necessary conflicts.

In Alabama, the Lord made me into a respected and recognized academic leader among administrators of both predominately white institutions and historically black colleges and universities, after He placed our tiny school the very best schools of communication and public relations nationwide, a fate never accomplished in the 150 years of Talladega College.

Which lesson am I going to learn here in South Carolina? I’m not sure yet but what I do know is that God will make a move to keep developing me to advance His kingdom. I surrender to whatever plan the Lord has for me. After all, who Am I without Him? Nothing, I must say. I don’t deserve the air that I breathe and the food that I eat and in my sins, I seek forgiveness from the Lord.

Be assured if this: God is always workings in our Christian lives for our own benefit, sometimes by placing us in uncomfortable, unlikely and unpleasant situations often defying our manly human logic and understanding. Remember: God move in our lives because He is God.

Other times, He moves us away of uncomfortable situations because maybe our jobs there was to teach a godly lesson to someone near us who needed to hear our words for their own salvation due to lack of faith or stubbornness instead of following the will of God. In another times, the most high takes us away from difficult situations for our own goodwill, I’ve learned.

Regardless… God is always on the move to advance His kingdom You and I are part of His overarching plan. Learn to trust God’s mission for you even if it requires the unplanned. God doesn’t operate linearly but Godly. Trust Him and be ready to live a fulfilled life, not necessarily an easy one.

That God be always glorified and honored on earth as He is in heaven.
