Consequence of Not Listening

God gave rebellious Israel numerous opportunities to listen to Him after they came out of Egypt. Jeremiah pleaded with them to repent and return to God, Jer 25:3-7. They continued to rebel.

The consequence was that God allowed Israel to become captives, Jer 25:8-11. This was a form of discipline.

The purpose was to wake them up to their problem and motivate them to return to a place of blessing in a right relationship with Him, Pro 3:11-12. 

As a leader: 

• Are you listening to God? If not, what consequences are you suffering, Heb 12:7-11?
• Do you plead with those under your care to listen to God?
