Republican Rep. Jim Jordan of Ohio said Saturday that House Republicans are building their case against Dr. Anthony Fauci.
Jordan was interviewed by journalist Benny Johnson and noted that Congress could issue a criminal referral to have Fauci prosecuted, but said it might not be acted upon.
Jordan said there “could be a referral, but you would refer it to the Biden Justice Department. I don’t know that — they’re going to pursue that, but you can definitely do that.”
“We could do a referral potentially. I would, frankly, prefer just to have Dr. Fauci come back in and take another round of questions here, but we’re building the case,” he said.
Jordan said House Republicans are “laying that foundation.”
“I do think Dr. Fauci and the CDC changed the definition of gain-of-function research, so that Fauci has, like, this wiggle room, but they were juicing up this virus, no doubt about it, juicing up this virus,” he said.
In a Saturday interview, Fauci mocked those calling for him to be prosecuted, according to Newsweek.
“There’s no response to that craziness. Prosecute me for what? What are they talking about?” Fauci asked.
“I wish I could figure out what the heck they’re talking about. I think they’re just going off the deep end. It just doesn’t make any sense to say something like that, and it actually is irresponsible. The rest of it is just insanity, the things they’re saying. But it does have a negative effect when people take it seriously and take it out on you and your family,” he said.
Calls to prosecute Fauci for lying to Congress have come from many quarters, including Republican Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas.
“There has been no person who has done more to destroy trust in the scientific and medical community than Dr. Anthony Fauci, who told millions of Americans lies willingly, knowingly, glibly, supremely arrogantly,” Cruz said. “Should there be accountability? In any sane system he would be prosecuted for lying under oath, and he would go to jail for lying under oath to Congress.”
Jordan also said Fauci has helped cover up the origin of the virus, according to the Washington Examiner.
During Wednesday’s hearing of the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic, Jordan noted that Fauci tried to direct attention away from the theory that the coronavirus leaked from a lab in Wuhan, China, that Fauci helped fund.
“If it may have been a lab, may have been nature, and we’re supposed to look for it, then why did Dr. Fauci work so hard for just one of those theories? Why was it so important to push one over the other?” Jordan said, mocking Fauci’s current statements that the origin might never be determined.
“Three years ago, if you thought it came from a lab, if you raised that, you were called a nutjob, you got censored on Twitter, you were blacklisted on Twitter, you were even called a crackpot by the very scientist who in late January sent emails to Dr. Fauci that said it came from a lab,” he said.
Jordan noted the role an $8.9 million federal grant played in silencing two early voices who said the virus appeared to be engineered and not natural.
“So, three days after they say it came from a lab, they change their position, and the only intervening event is a conference call with Dr. Fauci and Dr. [Francis] Collins,” Jordan said, later adding, “And then three months later — shazam! They get $9 million bucks from Dr. Fauci. Now isn’t that something?”
EXCLUSIVE: Shocking Evidence Shows Dr. Fauci Contributed Directly and Significantly to China’s COVID R&D and Propaganda

Shocking evidence about China’s control of U.S. virus research, courtesy of Anthony Fauci
Guest post by Lawrence Sellin, Ph.D.
There is overwhelming evidence that Anthony Fauci’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), through its funding decisions, has contributed directly and significantly to the success of China’s research and development programs.
Here is one such example.
Lishan Su, a graduate of Shandong University in China, is now a Professor at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore.
According to his publication record, Lishan Su has been in the United States for over 30 years, but has maintained active research collaboration with scientists in China, including those with links to the People’s Liberation Army. During that time, Lishan Su received more than $5 million in research grants from Fauci’s NIAID.
Part of Lishan Su’s research collaboration with China produced the 2021 U.S. patent US11136399B2 assigned, not to the University of Maryland, but to the Institute of Biophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China.

Lishan Su is an inventor for that patent and his address is shown as the Institute of Biophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, not the University of Maryland.
Another inventor is Jingyun Li, who is a People’s Liberation Army scientist working for the Academy of Military Medical Sciences in Beijing.
Although the patent is owned by China, research leading to the patent came from Anthony Fauci’s NIAID grants AI127346, AI095097 and R01AI080432.
What is even more shocking is that Lishan Su was simultaneously being funded by China’s Ministry of Health grant MOH 2017ZX10202101-004, which is part of the Chinese Communist Party’s Thirteenth Five-Year Plan’s National Major Infectious Disease Special Project.
Lishan Su was also part of an apparent scientific propaganda effort supporting the Chinese Communist Party’s narrative that the COVID-19 pandemic was a naturally-occurring disease, not the result of a laboratory-created virus.

The February 2020 article “No credible evidence supporting claims of the laboratory engineering of SARS-CoV-2,” which was solicited by the editor of the Chinese Journal, Shan Lu (funded by Fauci) of the University of Massachusetts Medical School, and senior-authored by Shan-Lu Liu (funded by Fauci) of Ohio State University, was written long before anyone should have accurately determined the origin of the COVID-19 virus.
There is a de facto scientific Fifth Column of China-trained scientists working in the United States, who, although being permanent residents or even becoming U.S. citizens, appear to have remained loyal to the Chinese Communist Party.

Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.: Fauci Has Been in Charge of Developing Bioweapons for Pentagon Since 2002 (VIDEO)
By Jim Hoft Mar. 15, 2023
Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. joined talk show host Jimmy Dore recently to discuss the US involvement with bioweapons programs, Dr. Fauci’s funding of coronavirus gain-of-function research and the Anthrax scare in 2001.
TGP’s Anthony Scott reported earlier on the Amerithrax attacks and the alleged CIA involvement in the bioweapons attack. Robert Kennedy, Jr. insists the CIA was involved in the attack.
Robert Kennedy then spoke about the bioweapons accident in the US in 2014 that resulted in a federal ban on gain-of-function research in the United States.
Robert Kennedy, J.: “They took the money that Cheney gave them [from the Patriot Act], $2.2 billion, and they funneled it through NIH, and it all went through Anthony Fauci. So beginning in 2002, Anthony Fauci got a 68% raise from the Pentagon for doing bioweapons development, and he got a raise of billions of dollars a year, and then he started doing all of this gain-of-function.
In 2014, three of those bugs escaped in high-profile escapes from different labs in the US. Congress held hearings on it. Everybody was angry, and 300 top scientists sent letters to Obama saying you got to shut down Fauci because he is going to create a pandemic.
So, Obama ordered a moratorium, and at that time, Fauci had eighteen different gain-of-function experiments he was doing around the US. He instead moved his stuff offshore to Wuhan, where he could do it out of sight of these 300 scientists and nosy White House officials who were trying to shut him down.
And he continued to do it with the same people he was funding here, Ralph Baric and Peter Dazak, and they moved their operation to the Wuhan lab.”
Back in April 2020 The Gateway Pundit reported that Chinese Doctor Shi Zhengli was part of a team working on a coronavirus project jointly with US doctors in 2014 before it was shut down by the DHS for being too risky.
After the US research project was shut down, Dr. Shi continued her coronavirus research in Wuhan, China.

Doctor Shi Zhengli from China was part of a team, including Doctor Ralph S. Baric from North Carolina, that published an article in a 2015 edition of Nature Medicine.
In the article they discussed bat coronaviruses that showed potential for human emergence. The article was published in 2015.

This report was published shortly after their project was defunded by the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
The HHS in 2014 sent a letter to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where they announced they were going to defund the program.
Dr. Ralph S. Baric was identified in the letter.

After the work stopped in the US, the Chinese moved forward with the project and ran research and development in Wuhan at the Wuhan Virology Center. From Shi Zhengli’s papers and resume, it is clear that they successfully isolated the coronavirus in the lab and were actively experimenting with species-to-species transmission.
It’s also important to note that back in 2017 we had solid intelligence about a viral leak in a high-security Chinese virology R&D center that resulted in the SARS virus getting out and killing people.
This information provides a basis that contradicts the theory that COVID-19 is a variant that just magically mutated in a bat in the wild and then jumped to a human when they ate a delicious bowl of bat soup.
We then reported that the Wuhan Institute of Virology in Wuhan, Hubei Province in China was hiring individuals for an ecological study of bat migration and virus transmission in November of 2019.
We now know from Dr. Shi’s resume and papers that she was still working on the coronavirus at that time.

The leader of the US task force overseeing the country’s response to the China coronavirus, Dr. Tony Fauci, was the one who funded the Wuhan bat virus work and kept it going.
If these research projects were banned in the US was it legal and appropriate for Dr. Fauci and NIAID to use taxpayer dollars to continue to fund the research in Wuhan, China?
Was Dr. Fauci ever going to explain his conflict of interest?
Did Dr. Fauci skirt US law to fund these dangerous projects in China?
Should the man in charge of the flawed US policy to treat and contain the China virus be trusted when he has not been upfront with his connections to the Wuhan research projects?
The Times of Israel reported:
Back in October 2014, the US government had placed a federal moratorium on gain-of-function (GOF) research—altering natural pathogens to make them more deadly and infectious–as a result of rising fears about a possible pandemic caused by accidental or deliberate release of these genetically engineered monster germs.
This was in part due to lab accidents at the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in July 2014 that raised questions about biosafety at US high-containment labs…
…A CDC internal report described how scientists failed to follow proper procedures to ensure samples were inactivated before they left the lab, and also found “multiple other problems” with operating procedures in the anthrax lab.
As such in October 2014, due to public health concerns the US government banned all federal funding on efforts to weaponize three viruses—influenza, Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS), and severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS).
In the face of a moratorium in the US, Dr. Anthony Fauci–director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease (NIAID) and currently the leading doctor in the US Coronavirus Task Force–outsourced in 2015 the GOF research to China’s Wuhan lab and licensed the lab to continue receiving federal funding.
The Wuhan lab is now at the center of scrutiny for possibly releasing theSARS-CoV-2 coronavirus and causing the global Covid-19 pandemic.
What more does Dr. Fauci have in his past that he has not revealed to the American public?
