Last week, we discussed the first Muslim representative elected to the Pennsylvania legislature who demanded an apology from another member because they began their session with a prayer to Jesus Christ, calling it ‘highly offensive.’

I received a message from a reader, who I believe to be sincere, stating:

“The Founders NEVER intended to favor Christianity over any other religion… None of the founders were explicitly Christian except the couple who were ministers. These arguments that the founders favored Christianity are historically incorrect, divisive, and anti-American. Your intent is only to rile up fear for political purposes.”

Let’s take a look at what a majority of our Founders believed.

George Mason, the ‘Father of the Bill of Rights,’ had suggested the wording of the First Amendment be:

“All men have an equal, natural and unalienable right to the free exercise of religion, according to the dictates of conscience; and that no particular sect or society of Christians ought to be favored or established by law in preference to others.”

The fact is there were numerous Christian denominations in the various colonies.

Supreme Court Justice Joseph Story, who was appointed by President James Madison, explained in his Commentaries on the Constitution of the United States, 1833:

“In some of the States, Episcopalians constituted the predominant sect; in others, Presbyterians; in others, Congregationalists; in others, Quakers … The whole power over the subject of religion is left exclusively to the State governments, to be acted upon according to their own sense of justice and the State Constitutions.”

We have to remember that the States created and ratified this Federal Constitution, so the Amendments to the Federal Constitution, particularly regarding religion, did not override individual State Constitutions. The original 13 states all declared similar statements as Maryland, who declared:

“No other test … ought to be required, on admission to any office … than such oath of support and fidelity to this State … and a declaration of a belief in the CHRISTIAN religion.” (emphasis added)

Delaware stated:

“Every person … appointed to any office … shall … subscribe … ‘I … profess faith in GOD THE FATHER, and in JESUS CHRIST His only Son, and in the HOLY GHOST, one God, blessed for evermore; and I do acknowledge the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testament to be given by Divine inspiration.’” (emphasis added)

Pennsylvania was operating under its 1776 Constitution, signed by Ben Franklin, which stated:

“Each member, before he takes his seat, shall … subscribe … ‘I do believe in one GOD, the Creator and Governor of the Universe, the Rewarder of the good and the Punisher of the wicked. And I do acknowledge the Scriptures of the Old and New Testament to be given by Divine Inspiration.’”

In 1840, Justice Joseph Story wrote in A Familiar Exposition of the Constitution of the United States:

“We are not to attribute this prohibition of a national religious establishment to an indifference to religion in general, and especially to Christianity (which none could hold in more reverence than the framers of the Constitution) …

Story continued:

“The real object of the First Amendment was not to countenance, much less to advance Mohammedanism, or Judaism, or infidelity, by prostrating Christianity, but to exclude all rivalry among Christian sects and to prevent any national ecclesiastical establishment which should give to a hierarchy the exclusive patronage of the national government.”

Written in many documents, here we have, not fear-based opinions and arguments, but your actual Christian history, Americans.

Ohio makes it crime to stop a fetal heartbeat

Joins growing coalition imposing restrictive abortion measure

It now is a crime in Ohio to perform an abortion once a fetal heartbeat can be detected, usually about six weeks into pregnancy.

The bill signed by Republican Gov. Mike DeWine poses the threat of fines of up to $20,000 from the State Medical Board of Ohio.

Abortion advocates immediately promised a court challenge. But at least five states have such laws and several more have plans under consideration.

The Republican-majority legislature had no difficulty passing the bill. It turned back several amendments proposed by Democrats, including one that would have required a DNA database for all men in Ohio “so that child support orders can be enforced.”

Another required paid maternal leave and accommodations for mothers in the workplace.

A statement from Created Equal said, “If the pro-abortion lobbies angered by this victory present a legal challenge, we will defend these babies all the way up to the Supreme Court.”

The organization said changes on the court “signify an even better day for preborn babies may be on the horizon.”

“The legislature and Gov. DeWine have declared that no longer should the beating hearts of humans too young to be born be violently torn apart by abortion,” Created Equal said.

State Rep. Niraj Antani said a baby “with a beating heart in the womb deserves the opportunity of being born.”

“As a co-sponsor of the Heartbeat Bill the moment I was elected, today’s vote will save countless lives,” Antani said.

South Carolina, West Virginia, Missouri, Mississippi, Maryland and Florida have passed similar laws.

“I commend Ohio lawmakers for fighting for precious babies and passing this heartbeat bill,” said Liberty Counsel founder Mat Staver. “The beating heart of a priceless unborn child should awaken the conscience of our nation to the violence of abortion.

“I am grateful that Ohio is not afraid to take significant steps toward making the womb a safe place again.”

The act now is a fifth-degree felony.

NBC said doctors report a fetal heartbeat can be detected as early as five weeks.

The bill’s backers welcomed the threat of legal action from abortion backers.

The ACLU of Ohio immediately announced it would sue over the 56-39 vote in the House and 18-13 decision in the Senate.

Pro-life activists hope to provoke a legal challenge that could overturn the U.S. Supreme Court’s 1973 Roe v. Wade ruling, which legalized abortion up until viability, usually at 22 to 24 weeks.

The bill contains exceptions if the pregnant woman’s life is in danger, but there are no exceptions for rape or incest.

Franklin Graham to Buttigieg: ‘We don’t define sin, God does’

Calls out Dem presidential candidate for slamming Pence’s faith

Pete Buttigieg doesn’t have the authority to define sin, evangelist Franklin Graham said Thursday in response to the openly gay Indiana mayor’s recent criticism of Vice President Mike Pence’s faith-based stance on same-sex marriage.

The 2020 Democratic presidential hopeful, an Episcopalian, targeted Pence’s beliefs in a speech over the weekend to the LGBTQ Victory Fund.

“That’s the thing I wish the Mike Pences of the world would understand … if you got a problem with who I am, your problem is not with me – your quarrel, sir, is with my creator,” said Buttigieg.

Graham, CEO of Samaritan’s Purse and the Billy Graham Association, reacted via Facebook.

“To set the record straight, Mr. Mayor,” he wrote, “the issue isn’t whether somebody has a problem with who you are – the issue is that we all have a problem with God because of our sin.

“And it applies to every single human being. God loves us, and the Bible says we are all sinners who need God’s forgiveness, which He offers if we repent and turn from our sin and put our faith in His Son, Jesus Christ,” Graham wrote.

“We don’t define sin, God does in His Word, the Bible. Using new terms like ‘Progressive Christianity’ and the ‘Christian Left’ may sound appealing to some, but God’s laws and standards do not change. He says, ‘For I am the Lord, I change not.’ I believe what the Bible says is truth.”

In his speech to the advocacy group, Buttigieg said his marriage to a man made him a “better human being.”

“Yes, Mr. Vice President,” he said, “it has moved me closer to God.”

Buttigieg said it was someone or something “far, far above my pay grade” that made him homosexual, and he said he fought those feelings for a long time.

“If you had offered me a pill to make me straight, I would have swallowed it before I could get a sip of water,” he said.

He also promised he would support a federal “equality act,” which, according to the bill now in Congress, would threaten constitutionally protected rights of Christians.

Graham said Buttigieg is “attacking Vice President Mike Pence for his stand with the Word of God.”

“I have such a great respect for the vice president, for his leadership in our nation, for his personal integrity, and for his Christian faith,” he wrote.

CNN reported Wednesday Pence responded to Buttigieg’s attack with: “He knows better. He knows me.”

“Nineteen people running for president on that side in a party that’s sliding off to the left. And they’re all competing with one another for how much more liberal they can be,” Pence said.

Is God Responsible for a Pedophile’s Attractions?

To ensure that there is no misunderstanding of any kind, please say these words out loud, slowly and clearly: Michael Brown is not comparing homosexuality to pedophilia. Michael Brown is not calling homosexuals pedophiles. Michael Brown is not comparing a mutually consensual, adult relationship to an abusive, adult-child relationship.

All clear?

What I am comparing is an illogical justification of homosexuality that can just as easily be used to justify pedophilia.

Please allow me to explain.

In the past, I have demonstrated how advocates of “man-boy love” have used the identical arguments that gay activists have used, specifically:

1) Pedophilia is innate and immutable.

2) Pederasty is richly attested in many different cultures throughout history.

3) The claim that adult-child sexual relationships cause harm is greatly overstated and often completely inaccurate.

4) Consensual adult-child sex can actually be beneficial to the child.

5) Pederasty should not be classified as a mental disorder, since it does not cause distress to the pederast to have these desires and since the pederast can function as a normal, contributing member of society.

6) Many of the illustrious homosexuals of the past were actually pedophiles.

7) People are against intergenerational intimacy because of antiquated social standards and puritanical sexual phobias.

8) This is all about love and equality and liberation.

Returning to the first argument, namely, that pedophilia is innate and immutable, I wrote in 2014:

“In case you’ve missed the latest headlines, we are now being told with increasing certainty that pedophilia is innate and immutable . . . .”

In keeping with this, there are now academic papers with titles like:

“Potential Implications of Research on Genetic or Heritable Contributions to Pedophilia for the Objectives of Criminal Law.”

And there are discussions on psychology forums asking, “Is Pedophilia Genetic?”

You say:

“But what does this have to do with God, who is mentioned in the title to your article?”

The answer is simple. The first openly gay presidential candidate, Pete Buttigieg, attributes his homosexuality to the Lord, recently directing these comments to Vice President Mike Pence:

“If you’ve got a problem with who I am, your problem is not with me. Your quarrel, sir, is with my creator.”

In other words, according to Buttigieg:

“God made me gay, and if you don’t like that, your issue is with God.”

According to Buttigieg, when he was younger – 15, 20, or even 25 years-old – if there was a pill he could have taken not to be gay he would have taken it instantly. Now, however, he is thrilled with his life, especially because of his “marriage” to his partner Chasten.

Personally, I don’t doubt that he and Chasten care deeply for each other. And I don’t doubt that, in certain ways, they have enriched each other’s lives. Most importantly, I don’t doubt that, to the core of his being, Buttigieg believes he was born gay and cannot change.

That is not my issue, nor am I his personal judge and jury.

My issue is the claim that:

“If I feel a certain way and I cannot change, then this is how God made me.”

That’s the exact same logic a pedophile can use:

“I never asked for these desires. I tried to change and cannot. This must be the way God made me. If you don’t like it, your issue is with God.”

You say:

“But you’re comparing apples with oranges. First and foremost, Buttigieg and Chasten are consenting adults and their relationship is non-abusive, based on love.”

Then why bring up the “born that way” argument? Why say, “God made me this way?” Why not just say, “My relationship to my partner is just as valid and good as any heterosexual relationship on the planet?”

That’s my whole point.

If we argue that a certain disposition or feeling or attraction or desire must be attributed to God because it is so deep-seated, then we open up a Pandora’s box of confusion.

Many married heterosexual men struggle with adulterous thoughts and desires. Can they say, “But this is how God made me!”? Should their wives just accept that this is how they are wired?

What about those who, to the core of their being, struggle with pride? Or anger? Or greed? Or jealousy?

What does this prove? It proves that we are a fallen, broken race in need of a Savior.

And what about the claims of a violent gene or a selfish gene or an obesity gene?

Do we therefore celebrate violence, selfishness, or obesity, if, in fact, they are genetic? Or, if we have these alleged genetic tendencies, do we work harder to overcome them?

You protest once again:

“You just don’t get it! All these things you listed, from adulterous thoughts to pride, anger, greed, violence, and obesity, are all bad. But same-sex love is fine. It’s just traditional society and religion that reject it.”

Of course, I differ with your assessment of homosexual relationships, but once again, you’re missing the point.

If same-sex love is beautiful and something to celebrate, then don’t attribute it the way you were born. Don’t say:

“This must be right because it’s innate and immutable.”

Unfortunately for gay activists, much of their movement was founded on the argument that “I was born this way and can’t change,” making homosexuality the new black.

Now that this argument is being debunked scientifically and anecdotally, the very foundations of gay activism are being shaken, including the argument that “God made me gay.”

But either way, to attribute all of our deepest, most ingrained desires to God is to make a massive mistake, blaming the Creator for the fallen condition of the creation.

The bad news is that, by nature, we have some deep moral problems. The good news is that Jesus can redeem us.

And Mayor Pete, if you have a problem with what I’ve written, your quarrel, sir, is not with me. It’s with God.

As In The Days Of Noah

In recent years, I’ve noticed a messaging trend in columns, commentary and sermons regarding a section of Scripture in Matthew 24.  It’s the, “As in the days of Noah,” passage, and I believe some people are missing its central meaning.  The point they make is that when the Lord returns, the world will be sinful like in the days of Noah, and as proof they use this part of the verse:

“38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage…”

In part, they claim it refers to the corruption of marriage, as in same-sex “marriage,” but that’s not what Jesus is saying there.  Yes, when the Lord returns there will be horrible, rampant sin in the world, but the sinfulness will be worse than in the days of Noah.  Remember what Jesus said earlier in verses 21-22:

“21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.”

What is yet to come is unimaginably worse than anything the world has ever seen.  The sinfulness, the tribulation, everything will be worse even than in the days of Noah.  It will be terrible, but look at the context of what Jesus is saying in the, “as in the days of Noah,” passage.  In Matthew 24, He is speaking to His disciples of the events that will lead up to His return and the return itself, and starting in verse 36, He pivots to the exact time of His return:

“36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark,

39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.

44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.”

Jesus is making the point that His return will be sudden and will catch people unaware, so Christians must always watch and be ready.  As in the days of Noah, everyone was living his life as usual, eating and drinking, marrying, going to work, going to sleep at night, and they were all unaware until suddenly the flood came and took them away.

That’s how it will be at the end of this world when Jesus comes back and gathers His church.  Then, two will be working by each other, and very suddenly, one will be taken and the other left.  Jesus takes his church and leaves behind those who refused Him.  And because Jesus has warned us in what He says here in Matthew 24 and what He says through His prophets, like Daniel, John in Revelation and others, we need not be caught off-guard by His return.

For those who are not Christians:  If you have read this far and have not accepted the free gift of salvation through Jesus Christ, then please know that everyone is accountable to God Who made us.  There is only one Way to God, and that is through His Son Jesus, alone.  Whether you believe or not, one of two people will pay for your sins:  either you or Jesus.  That’s why Jesus came into this world, God in human form, and gave His innocent, sinless life on the cross, because of His great love for us.  It was to pay the price for sin that none of us could ever pay, to redeem the lost and remake the bridge between God and man that Adam broke.

Seek Jesus today, while you still can.  If you seek Him, you will find Him.  Grab a Bible and read it.  What you need to know is in there.

Don’t Let Bitterness Ruin your Marriage

Marriages break because of bitterness

Marriage is Work in Progress:

Marital problems are real and the bitterness usually justified. If you’ve been hurt by your partner,  it is advisable to confront the problem calmly. Do not harbor the pain inward or compare yourself with other married couples because each marriage is unique in its own way.

I once spoke to a lady who wished to be in her neighbor’s position; because they seemed to be in a happy marriage. The fact is, people don’t announce their issues to the outside world. They keep their domestic problems behind closed doors. Smile and public hands holding can hide much.

No relationship is a complete smooth sail because nobody is perfect. Surprisingly the reason most marriages don’t heal is not only the problem at hand but also the prideful bitterness the wronged partner guard in their heart. Almost all break ups and divorce happen because of the hurting partner.

Bitterness Cuts the Host:

Bitterness is a blade meant to hurt someone else but it eventually serves the hand that conceals it. When it finds a place in a relationship, it destroys the foundation one step at a time. It stores itself in the soul slowly poisoning the one who carries it.

When you harbor resentment, love becomes numb and hardens the heart. Unfortunately at this point most people walk out. I have learned from talking to married couples that it is common for a wife or husband to say or do something disapproved by the other.

These things are bound to happen. But in some cases, a spouse forms a repetitive pattern regardless of being confronted. To the wronged partner, each hurtful action takes residence in the heart. It reaches a point when there’s no more room left. Thus the beginning of bitterness manifestation and damage beyond repair.

Communicate your Feelings:

If you are in such a position, the truth is, bitterness doesn’t give your spouse a chance to seek forgiveness or even change. As a matter of fact, they may not even know to what level they’ve offended you. Your bitterness comes from the hurts you suppressed without communicating.

Women are especially guilty here, I used to do it and know many women who still do. We tend to hold things inside expecting our husbands to read between the lines. Imagine taking a bottle and filling it up with pressure. It will eventually explode right?

In the same way, the outburst in your heart can result in a broken marriage. Your husband on the other hand may have no idea what’s going on. He may not even see it coming. I think women need to open up a little bit more. Communicate your feelings, don’t show them, your husband can not read your mind.

We all know that men love to fix things, he will do what’s necessary to make things work. I will write a different article about us women and how we push our husbands away.

 

Bitterness spreads like wild-fire

Bitterness Spreads Fast:

Perhaps your spouse is aware of your unhappiness but continues in the same patterns. It happens especially if he/she is trying to stir something up. The situation here is totally different and it calls for stronger measures like counseling.

However, this does not negate your responsibility to remove bitterness from your heart. You still need to at least be kind enough to set yourself free from stress related health issues. Bitterness will give your future health a bitter struggle. Nothing is worth your own health, take care of yourself, things can get better if dealt with rightfully.

I like to compare bitterness with wild-fire. Deadly wild-fire like the one we had ranging in California can begin with something as simple as a flat tire or tossed cigarette butt. That spark, combined with tinder-dry forests and howling winds, can be all that’s needed for a catastrophic wildfire to start.

Bitterness grows in the same way. One little bit of bitterness can spread throughout your heart and finally take over your whole body. It  starts to manifest itself in your attitude, demeanor, and finally your health.

In addition, the spreading will affect your children and family. Your criticism will make everyone critical. When you reach this point, it is not possible to make any sound decisions. There’s too many voices. The only way to start working towards reconciliation is to let go all bitterness.

A Positive Attitude is Attractive:

Find some undistracted time to discuss the issue with your spouse. If you find it hard to talk to him/her alone, find a close friend mentor. We all have one. Remember to speak in love, rationally and gently. Talk about all your hurts without being critical.

Finally when all is said and done. Work on yourself, not your spouse. He/she is the only one who can change themselves. You do not have the power to do so. The only part you can play, if you want to see some permanent changes is to pray. The greatest inspiration that can trigger change, with your spouse is your attitude. You might end up in the best marriage ever.

I’ve seen damaged relationships fully restored and the couple’s live happily there after. Most problems occur due to lack of knowledge. It is okay to seek help especially if you are stuck in hurtful cycle of marital problems.

It’s Not The Equality Act, It’s The Homosexual Supremacy Act

Don’t let the left and the Talking Snake Media lie to you. They lie to us all by the words they hope will drive and dominate the narrative.

One of those words is “equality.” They have deceived more people by this one word than perhaps by any other. After all, who could be against equality? If they can create a linguistic narrative driven by the notion of “equality,” then if we oppose it they tag us as people who are against fairness and equal rights for all and as people who are nothing more than blackguards and bigots.

But the reality is that not all behaviors are equal in moral value and should not be treated the same. The behavior of a man who robs a bank is not morally equivalent to the behavior of a man who withdraws money from his own account at the same bank. Even though the behaviors have a superficial similarity – they both involve a man walking out of a bank with money in his pocket – we leave the one alone and throw the other one in prison.

The behavior of a man engaged in the act of sodomy with a homosexual partner is not morally equivalent to the behavior of a man who is engaged in loving and conjugal union with the wife of his youth. It is moral blindness and even stupidity to pretend otherwise.

We discriminate all the time against behaviors that are contrary to public policy and the social good. That’s what public policy is all about, identifying behaviors, such as violence and theft, that are harmful to society and social tranquility, and deciding what sanctions are appropriate for socially destructive conduct. The law is, should be, and should only be, about behavior, not ideas or thoughts.

As Thomas Jefferson said (emphasis mine):

“The legitimate powers of government extend to such acts only as are injurious to others.”

So, we do not punish citizens for their thoughts, but for their actions only, actions that hurt others. We punish them for what they do, but not for what they want to do. They may want to do some pretty terrible things, but as long as they never take action on those impulses, the law and public policy are not concerned.

That’s what is slippery and dangerous about the left’s concentrated effort in the last couple of decades to switch the conversation from “sex” to “gender.” “Sex” is a biological and genetic term. It’s objective, determined by an individual’s DNA. “Gender,”  however, is entirely subjective and non-quantifiable. Gender is a matter of something that is entirely in someone’s mind and the way in which he views himself.

That’s why “gender identity” is a term that is particularly dangerous for legal purposes, since someone’s gender identity can change from day to day and even from hour to hour, without anyone being the wiser. We are all compelled to accept their entirely subjective view of their sexual identity and accept their inner sense of themselves as objectively binding on us. This is obviously irrational and cannot possibly provide a stable basis for public policy.

The first line of the bill (“The “Equality Act”) sounds innocent enough:

“To prohibit discrimination on the basis of sex, gender identity, and sexual orientation, and for other purposes.”

Leftists in Congress are attempting right now to sell a lethal piece of legislation under this term in the so-called “Equality Act,” which is proposed as a revision and an improvement over Title IX of the 1964 Civil Rights Act.

But there is no equality in this bill for anyone who believes that homosexuality is non-normative sexual behavior and something that should not be promoted, subsidized, and celebrated, especially in our schools.

That’s why I call this bill “The Homosexual Supremacy Act,” since it elevates homosexuality and gender confusion above anything and everything else in the moral universe. Everyone will be required to bow the knee before the Baal of Sodom or face punishment.

If religious liberty and heterosexual normativity come in conflict with the LGBT agenda, liberty and normalcy is guaranteed to lose every time. It’s worth the reminder that every advance of the LGBT agenda comes at the expense of religious liberty. This bill is no exception.

In fact, this law would specifically prohibit even a challenge to any of its provisions. The Religious Liberty Restoration Act of 1993 (signed into law by a Democrat president, Bill Clinton) is specifically overwritten in this bill:

“The Religious Freedom Restoration Act of 1993…shall not provide a claim concerning, or a defense to a claim under, a covered title, or provide a basis for challenging the application or enforcement of a covered title.”

Read at face value, no one would even be allowed to go to court to challenge any part of this tyrannical bill.

There is no religious exemption in this bill. None. You might as well take the First Amendment and its guarantee of the free exercise of religion and tear it right out of your copy of the Constitution.

The reality is that in any circumstance covered by this bill, somebody is going to be discriminated against, either a Christian vendor or a member of the LGBT community. Either the Christian baker will be discriminated against by being forced to bake the cake, or the lesbian couple will be discriminated against by not getting their cake from their vendor of choice.

There is no middle ground. It’s not possible for there to be no discrimination. Discrimination will occur. The only choice is who will be discriminated against. In this bill, the only ones who could even possibly be discriminated against are people of Christian faith.

Either sexually confused teens will be discriminated against by being required to use the shower that corresponds to their biological sex, or sexually normal teens will be discriminated against by being forced to put up with that nonsense or get punished.

“Shelters” are included. Christian-run shelters (like the Salvation Army) will be forced to allow males who think they are females to bunk down with female residents. Adoption agencies are in there as well. Christian adoption agencies will be compelled to place vulnerable young children into same-sex households, despite the known harms associated with same-sex parenting.

“Conversion therapy” will be outlawed. No parent will be allowed to seek professional help for a sexually confused son or daughter to reconcile their mental identity with their biological identity. Their child will be condemned to the psychological torment of this dissonance until the day they commit suicide, which 41% of transgenders do.

Employment is covered. Christian bookstore owners will be required to hire tattooed transgenders or face the wrath of the United States government. Housing is included. Christian landlords will be required to rent to flamboyant same-sex couples or face punishment.

We have often predicted that the left will not be content until they have confined the church to the space inside the four walls of their buildings. Well, this law will do it. But it’s even worse than that. Since there are no religious exemptions in this bill, churches will be ordered to allow transvestites and transgenders to use whatever bathroom and shower facilities they want regardless of the age or sex of who else might be in there.

If this bill is passed into law, overnight we will become more like China than the land of the free and the home of the brave. It would be impossible to find a law that represents a greater threat to religious liberty than this one.

If we value the Constitution crafted by the Founders, and the religious liberty which is an inalienable right from our Creator, we’d better get busy stopping this bill as soon as humanly possible.

As Ronald Reagan famously said:

“Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children’s children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.”

It’s freedom or slavery. And it’s time to choose between them.

Yes, I Really Did See An Ultrasound-Guided Abortion That Made Me Pro-Life

I left Planned Parenthood nine years ago after assisting in an ultrasound-guided abortion of a 13-week-old fetus. I saw the unborn child struggle for its life against the abortion instruments. I saw the empty uterus on the screen where life had been just moments before.

This story is now a major motion picture released in theaters nationwide, called “Unplanned.” While the movie defied industry expectations at the box office, attention has also been drawn to an article written about my story soon after I left the abortion industry. I had never felt the need to respond to the false claims in this story until now.

The Texas Monthly published a story just a few months after I left Planned Parenthood entitled “The Convert.” It’s a biased article from a liberal publication that has been used as the sole source for every other abortion-supporting website to try and debunk my story, most of them outright claiming I never witnessed the ultrasound-guided abortion or that it simply never happened.

The article claims there were no 13-week abortions done that day, September 26, 2009. It claims the doctor didn’t use an ultrasound to guide his instruments. But that incorrect information comes only from a sheet of paper from Planned Parenthood, not from an official record from the Texas Department of Health, which would never, under any circumstances, release any reports regarding specific abortions performed at specific clinics, in order to protect patient privacy.

In fact, the only abortion data that the Texas Department of Health releases is general information about abortions performed by county, ethnicity, age, and type of abortion performed. Under no circumstance, even an open-records request, would the Texas Department of Health release the induced abortion report for any facility (Texas Health and Safety Code 245.011).

The Texas Monthly reporter sent me a form from Planned Parenthood that was used as the basis for the story, which looks like something akin to a bad Excel spreadsheet. Planned Parenthood said this is what was sent to the Texas Department of Health, yet that’s not the correct form at all. The actual form is called the Induced Abortion Reporting form and the state requires it for each abortion appointment, not an Excel document. I was the clinic director for this Planned Parenthood, so it was my job to know this information and how to report abortions.

The form Planned Parenthood claims they sent to the Texas Department of Health also has some glaring disparities. Firstly, it doesn’t even have all the information that must be reported to the state, such as any complications and what type of anesthesia was used. Secondly, the form states that the facility performed a surgical abortion on a four-week old fetus. There is no way that would happen until five weeks of gestation at the very earliest, preferably six weeks, because you have to be able to visibly identify the chorionic villi—“tiny parts of the placenta that are formed from the fertilized egg”—which are usually not visibly present until six weeks.

Both this random document and the official Induced Abortion Reporting document never state if an abortion is done with an ultrasound guide. What’s important to them is that the abortion is completed. Ultrasound-guided abortions aren’t common, but the doctor doing them that day at the clinic wanted to do it that way, which is how I ended up holding the probe and witnessing the death of a baby on the screen.

The document Planned Parenthood sent the Texas Monthly reporter also shows that it was completed on September 30, 2009. But I didn’t resign as clinic director until October 6, 2009, so this supposed “proof” of a document would have been filled out by me. If I had this big scheme to talk about an abortion that never took place, don’t you think that I would have made sure that this form had a 13-week abortion included? However, I had never seen a form like this in my life, because it didn’t exist. The only form that I was aware of was the Induced Abortion Form that is an official Texas Department of Health document.

Understand that Planned Parenthood isn’t great at keeping records and the records they do manage to keep are often not correct or are deceptively altered. Planned Parenthood has been successfully sued many times over for Medicaid fraud, paying millions of dollars back to the government for defrauding taxpayers. Undercover videos shot by Lila Rose and Live Action show Planned Parenthood employees on camera willfully acknowledging they have no problem fudging dates here and there. This isn’t a trustworthy organization.

Another argument that is supposed to prove that my conversion didn’t take place as I said it did was that I did an interview for Planned Parenthood on the Sunday after this ultrasound-guided abortion took place. It was a little show on a local station that was hosted by a pro-choice friend of mine. I had agreed to the interview weeks before, and I had not left Planned Parenthood by that time.

An important part of my story is that I didn’t walk out of Planned Parenthood immediately after witnessing the ultrasound-guided abortion. It is made to appear that way in the film, “Unplanned,” because they are trying to fit 10 years of my life into an hour-and-a-half-long movie. But as I explained in my book, after witnessing the abortion, it took me a full week to reach out to the Coalition for Life.

I didn’t watch the ultrasound-guided abortion and say to myself, “Well, now I am pro-life.” I didn’t want to be pro-life. I hated the pro-life movement. I had been taught to hate them. I thought they hated me.

In fact, for at least 72 hours after witnessing the abortion, I was trying desperately to justify what I had seen. My husband was a special education teacher and I didn’t want to give up my salary, my friends, or my identity. I didn’t know who I would be if I wasn’t an abortion-loving feminist. It was much easier for me, less than 24 hours after witnessing this shocking abortion, to continue on with my job. At that point, I didn’t know if I was going to leave Planned Parenthood. I certainly never thought I would find myself walking into a pro-life office, and I never thought that I would one day be pro-life.

If none of my reasons are sufficient responses, consider that I have already been to court against Planned Parenthood and won. They tried to put a gag order on me after I left to ensure I couldn’t tell my story. The judge not only threw out the case but reprimanded them for wasting his time.

Since then, I have written a best-selling book talking about my experiences. I have a nationally distributed film whose pivotal scene is the ultrasound-guided abortion. If Planned Parenthood actually had proof that this abortion I witnessed never took place, they would have brought it up when they took me to court. They would have already presented this evidence to the public and most certainly have taken further legal action.

But they haven’t, because they know they can’t. They can’t because my story is the truth.

Ahab Blamed the Prophet, Nero Blamed the Christians – America Blames Both!

A nation that is pushing ever closer to total moral reprobation is not likely to rush to the fountain of theological wisdom or prophetic warning. But since God has been careful to tell us over and over again how much he loves us, (John 3: 16) and those in the world around us, it is appropriate that his messengers are so relentless.

We use Biblical examples to help us see our state, some more effective than others, and yet, some are so spot on that people may want to kill the messenger. Don’t hurt the mouthpiece, but don’t fail to hear the clarion call of the trumpet. Our lives and futures depend upon it!

The day is fast approaching in which the disdain people now feel at the rebuke of the prophet, preacher, and messenger, will be given to longing for another chance to hear and heed the message; the clanging will seem as a pleasant chime, but long since swallowed in time.

Nero covered his evil by blaming the Christians for the burning of Rome. Much further back in time, King Ahab blamed the prophet Elijah for stirring up the entire nation of Israel. Elijah, who never minced words, clearly ascribed the entire problem in Israel back to Ahab. That almost cost him his life. And now history has begun to repeat itself.

The first words from Ahab’s mouth upon seeing the prophet were;

“And it came to pass, when Ahab saw Elijah, that Ahab said unto him, Art thou he that troubleth Israel?” (1Ki 18:17)

The prophet replied with this;

“And he answered, I have not troubled Israel; but thou, and thy father’s house, in that ye have forsaken the commandments of the LORD, and thou hast followed Baalim.” (1Ki 18:18)

From American comedian and political commentator Bill Maher’s irreverent takes on God and his people, to the eleven Christians killed every day around the world – the world has begun again to blame the Christians for all their ills and unsolvable problems.

Who is to blame and what is the cost

America is to blame for its own problems not the voices that stand and warn.

The Christians are not to blame, but we will answer to God for our own extremes and gross immoral behaviors.

Is there no price attached to these things?

  • The killing of 60,000,000 (sixty million) perfectly healthy babies
  • The bulldozing of every moral precept known to man under the raging perversions of the LGBT movement.
  • The corrupting of our youth under to tutelage of leftist whacko progressive liberal teachers, from grade school to college.
  • The promotion of every religion from Muslim to big sweet daddy grace and his TV evangelism crusades.

If we owe – when is the first bill due?

Whether it was ancient Israel, modern nations or the example seen in the parable of the Prodigal Son, the one way God responds to all of them always start in the same way. Put simply it is the removal of all wealth, supply and excess.

Sodom, that ancient bastion of perversion was judged when she reached a state that America has long since passed.

“Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.”(Ezekiel 16:49)

We can be sure that all that happened leading up to the pouring out of fire and brimstone on Sodom would include the ending of  “fulness of bread” – now you have the key!

What we will see first in these United States is what this writer will refer to as “ov ov penury,” in all its glaring simplicity that means a time of extreme poverty and scarcity.

With our economy presently booming such a prediction may seem like pure nonsense. We think we have our economy in our own hands, but the reality is that it is not and it has never been. In the following passage it behooves us to take note of the word – “instant.”

“At what instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to pluck up, and to pull down, and to destroy it; If that nation, against whom I have pronounced, turn from their evil, I will repent of the evil that I thought to do unto them.” (Jeremiah 18: 7-8)If you happen to be bewitched, bothered and bewildered by the message here, then let me offer the short version.

Crosses On Graves Covered To Avoid Offending Other Religions

Crosses and other Christian symbols have been publicly displayed in the West for centuries; no religious minorities objected in the slightest. Now, all of a sudden, in a staggering coincidence, millions of hate-filled liberal lefties think that the cross is offending everyone!

And it seems that the left in Europe is very similar to our Democrats!

The crosses on graves in an Italian cemetery have been covered up to avoid offending those from other religions.

The sheets went up during renovations taking place at the chapel, in case any workers of different faiths were offended.

According to Giorgia Meloni the leader of the Conservative-populist Brothers of Italy party (FDI), “Using the excuse of respect for others, they lack respect for our Catholic culture and our traditions. Now the Left is beyond fanaticism. This is ideological delirium.”

Breitbart reports: The cemetery, which is located in Bologna in a town of around 7,000 people, has also installed motorized blackout curtains in a local chapel following renovations to hide Roman Catholic symbols during ceremonies involving other denominations, Il Giornale reports.

Following the reports of the coverings of the symbols, many have expressed criticism including Forza Italia (Forward Italy) deputy Galeazzo Bignami who denounced the move saying those looking not to offend were disrespecting Christian values and he added, “even more so the memory of our dead, hiding them behind ‘motorised tents’ in a cemetery to avoid offending other religions.”

“If the administrators are ashamed of our tradition and our culture, they should go and hide themselves and not just behind a motorized tent. If they are not able to bring respect for the living at least they have the decency to leave the dead alone and not involve them in foolishness,” he added.

“Tolerance” and its associated virtues can only be extended by “something”. These things do not emerge from a vacuum or arise from an empty space. They are, instead, characteristics of an “entity” or a “presence” – such as Christianity or of Italian (in this case) culture as animated or inspired by Christianity.

Deny that “entity” and there can be no “tolerance” for there is nothing to “be” tolerant. What’s left when you remove or deny it is not “tolerance” or an aversion to causing offense (much the same thing), but a wasteland of renunciation and potential nihilism that offers nothing except license and uninhibited, destructive permissiveness. A desolate badland.

The cross-concealers or maskers of the crucifix that cover up or stifle the Christian well-spring of tolerance are treading a very dangerous – and deluded – path indeed.
