The Days Are Evil

‘Be careful then, how you live – not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil’ ~ Ephesians 5:15

Humans are governed by time, but in the spiritual realm there is only day and night. As we live in a fallen world, though there is light from the sun to distinguish day and night, spiritually speaking, the days are considered night. In other words, the days are evil. A darkened humanity, comes to a darkened world to exist in dark days, evil days. Jesus says, ‘Are there not twelve hours of daylight? A man who walks by day will not stumble, for he sees by this world’s light. It is when he walks by night that he stumbles, for he has no light’ (John 11:9). In our default mode, we walk in darkness and have no spiritual light. We stumble because the world radiates to us no inner light. In other words, humanity is ‘darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the blindness of their hearts’ (Ephesians 4:18). Paul notes that ignorance is the main cause of us walking in darkness, fuelled by our natural state of blindness as we enter into the world.

It is only by coming to a true understanding can we have our spiritual eyes opened and walk in the light. Walking in the light means that we avoid stumbling in our own darkness and in the world’s darkness. By coming to an understanding of the magnitude of the world’s darkness and more importantly, the source of light, can we then be reconciled with God and truly walk in the light. Understanding the magnitude of our darkness does require any telling or training because ‘The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like’ (Galatians 5:19-21). Paul just scratches the surface mentioning deeds and acts that we encounter in these evil days, some of which we ourselves have even practised at one point of our lives. This list is not exhaustive, but exposes the magnitude of the darkness. ‘For it is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret’ (Ephesians 5:12).

Once we lift the cover and behold the extent of the darkness within and around us, we are presented with two options; accept the darkness and remain in it, or turn to the light. Those who do not like the darkness start to search for the light. Unfortunately, in these evil days, many sources promise light, and many turn to counterfeit lights. Some search for the light in science, religion, creation, wealth, occult, worldliness, apathy, sensuality (whatever feels right), and all sorts of falsities. However, these counterfeit lights do nothing to rid the darkness. Jesus remarks, ‘If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!’ (Matthew 6:23). Only those with understanding from the right source can receive the true light. So what is the true light? Jesus says, ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life’ (John 8:12).

Amidst other claims of light, one may wonder how sure that Jesus is in fact the One and Only light. But Jesus simply responds, ‘Even if I testify on my own behalf, my testimony is valid, for I know where I came from and where I am going’ (v14). So, we only need to walk with, and observe Jesus through His Word to see for ourselves that He is the true light of the world, because the light is infectious. Only those who get knowledge and understanding from the right Source soon make the realization that, ‘The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit’ (Romans 8:16) that Jesus is indeed the true light. Of course, many have discredited the Bible without even flipping a page of it, leave alone reading it from cover to cover, and so remain in ignorance, in darkness. Jesus even notes, ‘This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God’ (John 3:19-21).

Jesus knows that the verdict is settled, because many ‘refuse to come to me to have life’ (John 5:40). Although it is God’s will for ‘all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth’ (1 Timothy 2:4), man has free-will to choose between ‘life and death’ (Deuteronomy 30:19). Believing and accepting Jesus means that we are born anew so that ‘all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God’ (John 1:12). We then become ‘light in the Lord’ (Ephesians 5:8) and so ‘Live as children of light’ (for the fruit of the light consists of all goodness, righteousness and truth)’ (v8-9). Living as children of light is wise-living because it is not conforming ‘any longer to the patterns of this world, but to be transformed by the renewing of your mind’ (Romans 12:2). Because then, one will be able to ‘test and prove what God’s will is – his good, acceptable, and perfect will’ (v2). And it is only by living in the will of God, by faith and obedience in Christ Jesus, can we escape the wrath reserved for the dark and evil world, because we ‘shall not perish but have eternal life’ (John 3:16).

Those who refuse to come to Jesus, the Light, continue to walk in darkness of their minds and in darkness of the evil days. For ‘the god of this world has blinded the minds of those who believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them’ (2 Corinthians 4:4). The repercussion of walking in darkness is that ‘there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open. Therefore consider carefully how you listen’ (Luke 8:17-18). This is because ‘everything exposed by the light becomes visible, for it is light that makes everything visible’ (Ephesians 5:13-14). When Jesus, the Light, comes to uncover the darkness and rid it once and for all, He ‘will give to everyone according to what he has done’ (Revelation 22:12). Those who loved their darkness and that of the world because they lingered in it will be ‘cast into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth’ (Matthew 22:13). They will be sent to the outer darkness for eternity. ‘Blackest darkness is reserved for them’ (2 Peter 2:17), a darkness darker than what is in these evil days.

I looked at my Death Clock today. That was a big mistake.

Actually, I looked at one of the many websites that will use some basic information about you to calculate your average life expectancy. The good news is I have 225 million seconds to live. The bad news is that is only about seven years. So naturally, I looked for a second opinion. The next website says 20 years to go. Much better.

But then I looked at a far more accurate and deadly Death Clock. This one tracks the number of abortions in America since the U.S. Supreme Court handed down its infamous Roe v. Wade decision in 1973. The toll is breathtaking. Sixty-two million babies – each one made in the image of God – gone.

Digging a little deeper, the data are even more shocking. Of the 62 million babies aborted, more than 18 million (30%) are black babies. Yet blacks make up only about 13% of the population. Thus, the allegation of black genocide. Since abortion is voluntary (with undeniably coercive exceptions), that allegation of genocide seems hyperbolic. Yet, it is indisputable that the outcome is the same, as if it were attempted genocide.

By the way, according to published research, Planned Parenthood alone accounts for more than 8.6 million of those total abortions since 1970. And yes, significant portions of its federal funding still remain intact. Incredible.

One thing is undeniable. We are living in a culture of death.

Now it is true that in a spiritual sense we have lived in a culture of death ever since the fall of mankind into sin and death so many millennia ago. The Scripture tells us that the god of this world (Satan) has blinded the minds of those who are perishing (2 Corinthians 4:4) and that the whole world lies in the power of the evil one (1 John 5:19). Jesus Himself called Satan the father of lies and a “murderer from the beginning” (John 8:44). He remains our ardent adversary who “prowls like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour” (1 Peter 5:8).

One of those “devoured” in startling circumstances was Tine Nys, a 38-year-old Belgian woman. She was put to death (“euthanized” is the polite euphemism) by Belgium’s physician-assisted suicide apparatus. She must have been very sick, right? Some terminal illness? No. She had Asperger’s syndrome.

Asperger’s, as you may know, is a high-functioning form of autism. It presents a wide range of characteristics, from awkwardness in social settings due to speech and language challenges to depression and anxiety. But remarkably, Asperger’s sometime comes with special abilities, ranging from high IQ to amazing focus, persistence and analytical ability.

But in Belgium’s death culture, Asperger’s was enough to do away with Tine Nys. In a moment of darkness, she asked to be euthanized. She was one of more than 124 people (over a 10-year period) euthanized solely for mental or behavioral disorders.

Death by dehydration

Things are no better in the neighboring Netherlands. Fifteen years after decriminalizing euthanasia and physician-assisted suicide, more than 25% of all deaths in the nation are induced – rather than by illness or other natural causes. And in 2017, some 32,000 Dutch people died under what is called palliative sedation. In theory these died while sedated to avoid physical discomfort. But in actuality, many die of dehydration while unconscious. A culture of death on steroids.

But let’s get a spiritual grip here. There is little question that the darkness is getting darker. The real question is: What are we to do in a culture cloaked in the depths of darkness? The answer is to shine the light of Truth – for darkness is by definition the absence of light. For those who are in Christ, we have been entrusted with the light of God’s Word – sharper than any two-edged sword. This is a time to stand for truth and defend the freedom of those most vulnerable in our midst. This is a time to stand for life in a culture of death.

An LGBT activist is comparing Christians who affirm biblical sexual standards to “Holocaust deniers” and “rapists.”

Jayne Ozanne, who runs the Ozanne Foundation, was responding to a report from the Church of England arguing people who differ on issues of sexuality can “listen and learn” from one another.

Ozanne said that’s ridiculous, Pink News reported.

“Would one invite a survivor of the Holocaust to sit down and listen to the rantings of a Holocaust denier?” she asked.

“Would one ask a rape victim to sit down with a rapist and understand why they want to rape people” It is not only ridiculous – it is downright dangerous!”

Ozanne wrote on Twitter: “Homophobic teaching, no matter how civilly expressed, is both dangerous & harmful. Full stop!”

To all those who say we must 'listen & learn' to the 'other side', may I respectfully remind them that some of us lived under the teachings of the 'other side' and it nearly killed us.

The U.K.’s Christian Institute noted Ozanne is a lay member of the Church of England’s General Synod who also wants to ban “conversion therapy.”

The institute said the term is a mislabeling of counseling people who want help with unwanted same-sex attractions.

Ozanne, according to the institute, believes churches or individuals that engage in prayer, private conversation and teaching that does not affirm homosexual or transgender lifestyles “should be held to account and face the full force of the law.”

According to Pink News, the Church of England report requires LGBT people to “listen” to “the very people who have inflicted so much harm on them in the first place.”

The Problem of Evil

One of the most common objections to Christianity is the problem of evil. While it has many forms, the logical problem of evil often runs along the following lines:

1. If God can’t stop evil, then he’s not all-powerful.
2. If God won’t stop evil, then he’s not good.
3. Since evil exists, God can’t be both all-powerful and good.

This is a logically valid argument – if the premises (1 and 2) are true, then the conclusion (3) follows logically; and the first premise is true by the definition of ‘all-powerful’. However, the second premise has a hidden assumption: that God can’t have a good reason for allowing the evil that’s present in the world.

This is a curious assumption to make. If God is all-knowing, then why would we assume that God can’t know something that we don’t (his reason for allowing evil)? Because of this flaw in the logical problem of evil, “it is now acknowledged on (almost) all sides that the logical argument is bankrupt.” (William Alston, ‘The Inductive Argument from Evil and the Human Cognitive Condition’, Philosophical Perspectives 5 (1991))

This still leaves the evidential (or inductive) problem of evil unanswered: Given the sheer magnitude of evil in the world, what could God’s reason for allowing all the evil in the world possibly be? This is something that the authors of the Bible wrestle with deeply. In particular, the book of Job is concerned with precisely this question. At the start of the book of Job, Satan says to God:

“Does Job fear God for nothing? Have you not put a hedge around him and his household and everything he has? You have blessed the work of his hands, so that his flocks and herds are spread throughout the land. But now stretch out your hand and strike everything he has, and he will surely curse you to your face.” (Job 1:9-11)

Satan accuses Job, and by implication all of humanity, of having a consumer relationship with God, where the relationship is a means to some other end (like the relationship people have with their supermarket); as opposed to a familial relationship, where the relationship is an end in and of itself (like the relationship people have with their close family members).

But in the face of Satan’s accusation, God determines to create free lovers, and so God gives Satan enough rope to proceed; but in the end, it’s only enough rope for Satan to hang himself. Satan wanted to bring suffering into Job’s life in order to expose him as a hypocrite and a fraud, but the suffering that God allows accomplishes the exact opposite; it demonstrates that Job’s relationship with God is much deeper than the consumer relationship that Satan had accused him of.

One commentator notes that, “because [Job’s friends] encourage Job to repent primarily to escape his suffering and to receive God’s blessing, they unsuspectingly tempt him to use God for personal gain, the essence of sin.” (John Hartley, The Book of Job, 48) But if using God for personal gain is the essence of sin (which is implied in Satan’s accusation), then the only way our obedience to God can be completely divorced from sin, is if it is possible to “fear God for nothing.” (Job 1:9)

If our obedience is motivated by what God will give us for it, then our relationship with him is nothing more than a consumer relationship, and Satan’s accusation would stand: that Job’s obedience, and by implication all human obedience, is inherently selfish (Job 1:9-11; 2:4-5). And so God permits Satan to tempt, Job, Adam, Eve, and us; so that our love for God could be real rather than inherently selfish.

By giving us the ability to choose, God creates the possibility of free lovers rather than mere consumers, and the possibility of family relationships where we don’t use each other, as opposed to consumer relationships where we do. In this we see an answer to the problem of evil in the narrative of Job, and in the meta-narrative of the Bible: what could possibly be worth all the evil in the world? The answer is love, but for love to be real rather than selfish, our actions cannot be driven by selfish motives.

Love requires a certain type of free-will: the ability to “fear God for nothing” (Job 1:9), and the lengths that God goes to in order to achieve this reality, reveals a free-will defence to the problem of evil in the narrative of Job, and in the meta-narrative of the Bible. God allows Satan to bring evil and suffering into the world so that we can be free lovers rather than mere consumers in our relationship with him, and in our relationships with each other.

One of the objections to the free-will defence is that while it accounts for moral evil committed by people, it doesn’t account for natural evil, such as floods, earthquakes and tsunamis. However, when the problem of evil is raised against Christianity, the Bible’s answer is that natural evil is the direct result of our free choice to reject God. According to Genesis 3, our rebellion against God impacts our relationships with each other (moral evil) and with creation (natural evil). As Peter Van Inwagen puts it:

“The expanded free-will defence includes evils in the amounts and of the kinds that we find in the actual world, including what is sometimes called natural evil, such as the suffering caused by the Lisbon earthquake. (Natural evil, according to the expanded free-will defence, is a special case of evil that is caused by the abuse of free-will; the fact that human beings are subject to destruction by earthquakes is a consequence of an aboriginal abuse of free will.)” (Peter Van Inwagen, The Problem of Evil, 90)

The evil and suffering that we see and experience in the world is an extremely high price to pay, but the free-will defence argues that our freedom is worth it, because the reality of love depends upon it. If people weren’t free to withhold love and compassion, then love wouldn’t be love and compassion wouldn’t be compassion, they would simply be the only option available to us – a pre-programmed behaviour that we have no choice but to do.

While a fallen world with all the evil and suffering that we experience makes life incredibly difficult to bear at times, a world without love and compassion would be significantly worse. As one screen writer puts it: “Without love… breath is just a clock ticking.” Ultimately, the reason why God allows evil, is so that love and the good can be freely chosen, as opposed to the mechanics of a clock. As Alvin Plantinga argues, the existence of evil “counts neither against God’s omnipotence nor against His goodness; for He could have forestalled the occurrence of moral evil only by removing the possibility of moral good.” (Alvin Plantinga, God, Freedom and Evil, 30)

Pray for America… And Overcome Evil with Good

Our hearts go out and our prayers go up for the victims in America’s most recent tragedies. Perhaps the most comforting compliment to President and First Lady Trump’s outreach to the families of the victims of the recent massacres in Ohio and Texas is the appeal of a young boy who asks Americans to respond to the horrendous violence by performing 22 acts of kindness to those around us.

Meanwhile, in comparison, comments made by former Congressman Beto O’Rourke, and former Vice President Joe Biden, both blaming President Trump, in part, for the mass murders, and O’Rourke going so far as to accuse Trump of being a white supremacist, are untimely and unseemly.

Democrats and their compatriots are not being truthful. Here are seven instances where President Trump denounces  the KKK, neo-Nazis and white supremacy.

Biden and his Democratic compatriots support immoral baby killers, including Planned Parenthood and the abortion lobby.

Race baiters fail to mention that George Wallace apologized. It was a reaching-out moment of reconciliation, of Wallace’s asking for – and receiving – forgiveness. In a statement read for him – he was too ill to speak – Wallace told those in the crowd who had marched 30 years ago: “Much has transpired since those days. A great deal has been lost and a great deal gained, and here we are. My message to you today is, welcome to Montgomery. May your message be heard. May your lessons never be forgotten.”

Fake News refuses to cover President Trump’s accomplishments including fighting for the unborn, criminal justice reform, and aid to HBCUs. Meanwhile, they ignore Biden’s part in incarceration of hundreds and thousands of blacks.

Shame on Biden and his compatriots – race-baiting while POTUS and FLOTUS pay respect to the grieving. PRAY FOR AMERICA.

Our Authority Over the Enemy

Why does our culture and our world continue to spin deeper and deeper down the drain of sewage and depravity?  Everywhere we look, good is called “evil” and evil is called “good.”   Everything is backwards from God’s natural order.  Everything is a demonic counterfeit of God’s perfect plan and design.

Today, as we read in Romans 1, it seems God has given the world over to depraved, reprobate minds.  Vile affections, blood lust, worship of false gods.

“Filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, spiteful, proud, boasters, INVENTORS of evil things, disobedient to parents, without understanding, covenant-breakers, without natural affection (even for their own children); undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, and unmerciful.”

Is it any wonder that God has given most people in this world over to reprobate minds?

A dark cloud of judgment has fallen upon our land.  And it is our own fault.  Why is the church today, so powerless?  Or perhaps better stated, why is modern American Christendom — the INSTITUTIONAL so-called “churches” — why are THEY so powerless and effeminate?  Outwardly, they practice a FORM of godliness, but they deny the power of GOD.  I dare say that MOST professing Christians and church-goers today are just as carnal as the worldly.  They may act “holy” during the “worshiptainment” they enjoy at their local “Godmart.”  But they really have no idea whatsoever what being a Christ-follower is really all about.  Salt that has lost the savor, therefore USELESS — except to be thrown out and trampled under the feet of men.  That is, if they ever HAD any “salt” to begin with.

Increasingly, Lucifer and his demons are reigning on this earth.  Mind you, it is only because God Almighty allows it, for now.  But nevertheless, the demonic realm is very REAL, and very effective at destroying all who will fall for his lies and deceptions.  And make no mistake, ALL he offers are lies and deceptions, because he is the father of lies and there is no truth in him.  His goal is to lie, deceive and twist as many minds into godless rebellion as possible, leading to the ultimate death and destruction of as many of God’s image-bearers as possible.  That means YOU, friend.  We are ALL targets, simply because we are made in God’s image, and though our Creator is not willing that any should perish, MOST will, by their own choice.

In the book of Job, we read that:

“One day, the sons of God (the angels) came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came with them.  The Lord asked Satan, ‘Where have you come from?’  ‘From roaming through the earth,’ Satan answered Him, ‘and walking around on it.’”

Ezekiel 28 is a two-fold prophecy — regarding the proud, boastful King of Tyre, who thought he was a god.  The King’s judgment was pronounced:

“Because you regard your heart as that of a god, I am about to bring strangers against you, ruthless men from the nations.  They will draw their swords against your magnificent wisdom and will defile your splendor.  They will bring you down to the Pit, and you will die a violent death.”

Such is always the end of those who celebrate “pride.”

The second part of this message in Ezekiel seems to refer to Lucifer, Satan.  It reads:

“You were the seal of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty.  You were in Eden, the garden of God.  Every kind of precious stone covered you…You were an anointed guardian cherub, for I had appointed you.  You were on the holy mountain of God…From the day you were created, you were blameless in your ways until wickedness was found in you.  Through the abundance of your trade (evil), you were filled with violence and you sinned.  So I expelled you in disgrace from the mountain of God, and banished you, guardian cherub.”

The Lord goes on: 

“Your heart became proud because of your beauty; for the sake of your splendor you corrupted your wisdom.  So I threw you down to the earth…”

Yes, Satan is a CREATED being, and was anointed by God and given the position of “guardian.”  But he rebelled against the Most High, and was cast down to the earth, where he remains today, as the father of lies, the enemy of our souls.  1 Peter 5 warns us that he now:

“prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.”

We are therefore warned to be SOBER-MINDED and WATCHFUL, and we have God’s promise that if we  resist him, firm in our faith, he will flee from us.  You see, he HAS to.  Because we — IF we have the Holy Spirit of God within us (and not ALL who claim the name of Christ actually DO)  — then WE have the very power and authority of God within us also to trample Satan beneath our feet.

In Matthew 10, we have this:

“Summoning His 12 disciples, He gave them authority over unclean spirits, to drive them out and to heal every disease and sickness.”

In Matthew 28, starting at verse 18:

“Then Jesus came near and said to them, ‘ALL authority has been given to Me in heaven AND ON EARTH.  Go therefore, and make discples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to oberve everything I have commanded you.  And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” 

Yes, JESUS is with us — He is IN us — and gives us HIS authority on this earth.  And the authority of GOD includes authority over the devil and his demons.

Look also at Luke 10:  Jesus commanded the seventy to go out, two by two into ‘every city and place.’  His directives were to:

“heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those with diseases and DRIVE OUT DEMONS.”

But He warned that while the harvest is great, the workers are few.  He warned that His disciples would be going out as sheep among wolves.  The Christian life is NOT one of ease and comfort, not one of potlucks and ice cream socials and youth group pizza parties.  This is serious business.  This is our JOB.

When the seventy returned to Jesus, they came with joy saying:

“Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through Thy name!”  And Jesus replied, “I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.  Behold… I give you… all power over the enemy, but rejoice not that the spirits are subject unto you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.”

Friends, do you REALIZE — do you UNDERSTAND — that the supernatural spiritual realm is REAL and PRESENT right alongside us?  Though we cannot see it in the natural, it is no less real.  Demons and angels walk among us on this earth and the spiritual battle rages in the heavenlies and in this world.  The “prince of the power of the air” commands legions of demons to do his evil bidding among us every day.  But he can only do this if WE allow it, and open the doors to the demonic.

But knowing that God is INFINITELY more powerful than the father of lies, knowing that Jesus Christ Himself was manifested in this world, died, was buried and rose again, that He might destroy the works of the devil, WHY then, is this world descending so rapidly, now, into utter destruction?

1 Timothy 4:

“Now the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will depart from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and the teachings of demons, THROUGH THE HYPOCRISY OF LIARS whose consciences are seared.”

I could do an entire sermon on that verse alone.  Today, MANY have departed.  MANY are following the deceitful spirits and teachings of demons.  And this Scripture TELLS US that these demonic teachings come through the hypocrisy of liars whose consciences are seared.  Dare I say that many — if not MOST — of our “churches” today have become nothing more than carnal, satanic social clubs, where professing “pastors”  NEVER address the topic of spiritual warfare.   Hireling  “shepherds” that will NEVER talk about the social, cultural, moral and political issues that are twisting our own minds and those of our children, destroying marriages (indeed, even redefining MARRIAGE to include unholy sodomite hedonism), tearing apart families, and dragging millions of souls to hell every day.  By their silence, they have given their consent.  Sadly, there are now an increasing number of churches CELEBRATING all this wickedness as well.  Not just remaining silent — now they are ADVOCATING for and CELEBRATING sodomy, infanticide, Islam, fornication, pornography, socialism, fascism and more.

Paul wrote to the Corinthians:

“I fear that as the serpent deceived Eve by his cunning, your minds may be seduced from a complete and pure devotion to Christ.  For if a person comes and preaches another Jesus, whom we did not preach, or you receive a different spirit, which you had not received, or a different gospel, which you had not accepted, you put up with it splendidly!”

Yes, there are MANY false Christs and false gospels and false spirits being preached today, and there are MANY who put up with it splendidly!

God has placed before us a choice, between life and death.  Sadly, most have chosen the broad path that leads to destruction.  Even MOST who attend church regularly and do all the vain religious rituals, having neglected ENTIRELY the weighter matters.  But Paul continued:

“Since we have this ministry because we were shown mercy, we do not give up.  Instead, we have renounced shameful secret things, not walking in deceit or distorting God’s message, but commending ourselves to every person’s conscience in God’s sight by an OPEN DISPLAY OF THE TRUTH!  But if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing.  In their case, the god of this age has blinded the minds of the unbelievers so they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.”

What an admonition!  We are NOT to walk in deceit or distort God’s message but seek to touch EVERY PERSON’S CONSCIENCE.  How?  By AN OPEN DISPLAY OF THE TRUTH!  We are not to tell the carnal, worldly person “Jesus loves you, brother, just the way you are!”  That is a lie from the father of lies himself.  UNTIL we come to Christ in humble repentance and faith, we remain under God’s wrath, an enemy of the cross, and Scripture tells us we are of our father the devil, and the deeds of our father we will do.  And that is NOT OK!  God is not “alright” with that.  The wages of sin are death.  Instead, as much as we are able, with all our might, through the POWER of the Holy Spirit within us, we are to present to EVERY PERSON’S CONSCIENCE an OPEN DISPLAY OF THE TRUTH!  Unashamedly.  Boldly, but humbly.  For such WERE some of us!

But the world is growing darker, folks.  And at an alarming speed.  Why is evil getting so bold so quickly?  Why are we seeing things coming upon the earth now that we would have never dreamed possible just a few years ago?  Because we have opened the doors — we have rolled out the red carpet — we have opened “portals” into the demonic spiritual realm.  We have done this by believing lies and by hiding from God’s light.  We do this every day through the entertainment we choose, through the sin habits we continue to indulge in, through continuing to allow millions of babies to be slaughtered in the womb.  And make no mistake, the devil and his demons FEED on the blood of the innocent.  The blood of the innocent is CURRENCY in the demonic spiritual realm.  We are under blood guiltiness, but few professing Christians can be bothered to actually DO anything about it, or demand justice.

The same is true with the sodomite agenda.  Christians remain silent.  PASTORS remain silent on ALL of these things,  as thousands upon thousands of our young people and young CHILDREN are indoctrinated into this death-style.  Parents even march their little kids in the “pride” parades and take them to “Drag Queen Story Time” at their local libraries.   Countless children and young people are lured into the human trafficking market, sold as slaves and prostitutes.  Then we celebrate the death-cult of Islam, welcoming demon worshipers into high places in government, education, media and other areas of great influence.   I could go on:  the plague of Pharmakea; the indoctrination of children in public schools — and the rest of us through constant use of our “screens” — the invasion of our country by hostile foreign enemies.  The list is endless.

And we do ALL of this with PRIDE.  Yes, we have willingly opened massive portals into the demonic realm, allowing an ever-increasing number of demons to have free reign in every area of our lives and our world.  As we invite and welcome and celebrate the arrival of more and more demons, we seal our fate.  Only God’s faithful remnant will find eternal life with Him.  Yet we must press on, we must boldly proclaim TRUTH at every opportunity and seek and demand righteousness and justice!  Most of all, we must remember the words of Moses — and actually DO what we have so woefully failed at.  From Deuteronomy 6:

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your strength.  These words I am giving you today are to be in your heart.  REPEAT THEM to your children.  Talk about them when you sit in your house and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.  BIND THEM as a sign on your hand and let them be a symbol on your forehead.  Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.”

This spiritual battle — this spiritual WARFARE — is REAL and it is intense, and the enemy is seeking to devour us all — especially our precious children.  We need to step up our game.  We need to “amp it up.”  We need to be bold WARRIORS for Christ, seeking to be a restraining influence against the enemy.  But we can NEVER DO THAT if we never speak up, or never leave the four walls of our local Religious Service Providers.  Salt that has lost its savor cannot be made salty again.  It’s too late for them.  But for the faithful, NOW is the time.  TODAY is the day for us to BELIEVE what Jesus said:  we have ALL authority over the enemy; Jesus will be with us, even to the end of the age.  Christ is IN us — and as His disciples we have the very authority of God to cast these demons OUT, and they have no choice but to OBEY… WHEN we understand and BELIEVE that authority, and come out of our hiding places and begin to exercise it.  Just as Jesus commanded.
