VIDEO Do Not Become A Pillar of Salt! Believe In Christ Jesus!

 by ZAMA-ZOE GRACE

But now much more in my absence, continue to work out your salvation [that is, cultivate it, bring it to full effect, actively pursue spiritual maturity] with awe-inspired fear and trembling [using serious caution and critical self-evaluation to avoid anything that might offend God or discredit the name of Christ]. Phil.2:12 AMP; … Remember what happened to Lot’s wife! If you grasp and cling to life on your terms, you’ll lose it, but if you let that life go, you’ll get life on God’s terms, Luke 17:31-33 MSG

Greetings Beloved of the Lord! I trust you had a great spirit-filled weekend. Today I wrote as the Holy Spirit led me, to encourage believers to let go of the past life and pursue the life of Christ and only Him.

Do not become a pillar of salt by clinging to you old before you became born-again. Do not go back to the life of sin, which discredits your life of salvation. Once you give your life to Christ, you have another mandate to work your salvation with fear and trembling and preserve your life from becoming a pillar of salt.

Once God rescues you from the kingdom of darkness, you have to train yourself to keep moving forward, believing in the Lord Jesus, and living your life according to the rules of the kingdom of Christ. There is a question which most people have asked, such as if you are born-again, do you remain born again forever?.  I do not have an answer to this question; I, However, understand that Christ Jesus warned us not to become like Lot’s wife.

In the bible, we learned that on the day God destroyed the city of Soddom and Gomorrah, He rescued only Lot and his wife and his two daughters. The angels gave them an instruction to get out of that city and not look back. That moment was the point of salvation for them; God was saving their lives from eternal destruction. The only thing required from them was to believe that God was for them, and they were supposed to obey God’s command to move forward and focus on what was ahead and not behind.

Lot’s wife failed to accept God’s solution for their lives, and she chose to walk out of that city according to her senses and disobeyed God. She tasted the grace gift of salvation for a moment; however, she lost her life because she did not believe in God. She was not willing to explore the new life ahead of them. She did not trust that there was something better in store for them. She held on to the past and could not let go and sinned against God.

The story of Lot’s wife is for believers who have accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior, yet they are not willing to let go of the life filled with the pleasures of sin. They want to live the best of both kinds of life. The word of God tells us in the below-mentioned scripture to choose between life and death; the two cannot co-exist in one’s life.

Look at what I’ve done for you today: I’ve placed in front of you
Life and Good
Death and Evil.
16 And I command you today: Love God, your God. Walk in his ways. Keep his commandments, regulations, and rules so that you will live, really live, live exuberantly, blessed by God, your God, in the land you are about to enter and possess. Deuteronomy 30:15-19.

I call Heaven and Earth to witness against you today: I place before you Life and Death, Blessing and Curse. Choose life so that you and your children will live. And love God, your God, listening obediently to him, firmly embracing him. Oh yes, he is life itself, a long life settled on the soil that God, your God, promised to give your ancestors, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Deuteronomy 30: 19-20.

Life co-exists with good, and death co-exists with evil. We learn from 2 Corinthians chapter 6: 14-18 Don’t become partners with those who reject God. How can you make a partnership out of right and wrong? That’s not partnership; that’s war. Is light best friends with dark? Does Christ go strolling with the Devil? Do trust and mistrust hold hands?

When we fail to obey the life of faith in Christ, we choose death. We are the righteousness of God, He has made us righteous through the blood of His dear Son Jesus, and we must continue to pursue righteousness and work out our salvation with fear and trembling. We must not turn from righteousness to unrighteousness as we are warned in the scripture below:

“But a wicked person who turns his back on that life of sin and keeps all my statutes, living a just and righteous life, he’ll live, really live. He won’t die. I won’t keep a list of all the things he did wrong. He will live. Do you think I take any pleasure in the death of wicked men and women? Isn’t it my pleasure that they turn around, no longer living wrong, but living right—really living?

“The same thing goes for a good person who turns his back on an upright life and starts sinning, plunging into the same vile obscenities that the wicked person practices. Will this person live? I don’t keep a list of all the things this person did right, like money in the bank he can draw on. Because of his defection, because he accumulates sin, he’ll die.

“Do I hear you saying, ‘That’s not fair! God’s not fair!’? Ezekiel 18: 21-28 MSG

We are living in the days of the end of the age, as it was in the days of Noah, and in the days of Lot, Gen. 6-9, 19, it is the same right now in the days we are living in; may we as believers be like the sons of Issachar, who understood the times of God, 1 Chron.12:32. As the Lord Jesus said in the gospel of Luke chapter 17, may we also remember Lot’s wife! May we stand firm in our faith, and move forward, watching and praying, obeying the word of God, and do not become a pillar of salt.

May God strengthen you and keep you in this evil last hour. May you hold on to Jesus and not look back. May you remain alive in Christ, May you enter heaven with many souls.

I hope you found strength and courage in this post; Thank you so much for stopping and taking the time to read. God loves you, He is with you and for you- Many blessings!

May this Video below encourage to let go of the former things, Behold the Lord Jesus is doing a new thing, Amen!

VIDEO John MacArthur: Our Culture Has Declared ‘War on Children’ and Is ‘Weaponized to Destroy Children’

By Jesse T. Jackson -May 11, 2021

war on children

Grace Community Church‘s 81-year-old pastor of over 50 years, John MacArthur, told his congregation this past Sunday that the culture we live in today is systematically declaring war on children as it’s “weaponized to destroy children.”

MacArthur’s sermon title “Providing Shade for Our Children” was inspired by a Chinese proverb. He explained, saying, “One generation plants the trees, the next generation gets the shade.”

As he unpacked the proverb, MacArthur said, “Every generation should understand the responsibility that they have to plant the trees so there is shade for the next generation.” He then boldly said, “What we’re facing today is fierce! I will confess…of all the things that disturb me in this culture…of all the horrific, sinful, wretched, wicked, corrupt influences that go on in this culture. I think the thing that distresses me most is the war on children.”

MacArthur Gave Examples of How Culture Has Declared War on Children

Over 62 million children “have been slaughtered in the womb,” he factually stated since abortion was made legal in the 1970’s.

If a child escapes the death of abortion, they have a 50/50 chance of being born into a family whose parents are married.

If the child’s parents are married, the likelihood of them getting a divorce is high, and both or one of them will be “unfaithful to their marital vows.”

The probability of that child being sent to a public school and being under the influence of an agenda that is “anti-God, anti-Christ, and anti-Scripture” is also high.

Politicians in our country are passing laws that are “devastating to children.”

“Sexual freedom, homosexuality, and transgenderism” is constantly being pressured upon them as normalcy and if not accepted is called “hate speech.”

“The lies of systemic racism and the hustlers dominate the ideologies of universities and even churches,” MacArthur said.

Movie-makers, music producers, big tech, and social media providers “literally pump out things that destroy children.”

Children Are Defenseless Against the Relentless Attacks

All the forces of evil have released a relentless assault upon the children this country, who MacArthur said are “defenseless.” He explained that society offers no restraint to those destroying our children, yet encourages it.

Our culture’s defenseless children look like, “When their parents sell them to a human trafficker, who drops them eight to 10 feet over a wall into Sodom and Gomorrah [referring to America] all by themselves,” he described. Giving a children’s media example, MacArthur pointed out that the Disney Corporation created “characters that are transgender to seduce children into accepting wickedness as normal.”

MacArthur also exemplified the quickly growing trend of parents insanely offering “their children gender identity options,” somberly stating that “children are under assault now.” Referring to  Joe Biden’s recent announcement that the government would like to provide free education from the ages of 3 to 20, MacArthur asserted that this extends the negative influences in our children’s lives.

“The president to the leading politicians and bureaucrats, teachers, race hustlers, pornographers, media people, tech people, and even media people” are attacking those who are most defenseless; children. “There is a war on children!”

Children are already forced to endure a world impacted by the sins of their parents when they are born. MacArthur then referenced Exodus 20:5Numbers 14:18Jeremiah 32:17-18, and Ezekiel 18 and showed that generational sins create a culture that has to be endured by those born into it. He called it “default reality.”

“This is a very dangerous place for children,” he said after he told the 2014 story of Planned Parenthood workers admitting to illegally selling aborted baby parts to undercover pro-lifers. Instead of Planned Parenthood getting charged with a crime, the government charged the pro-lifers felony counts of violating the privacy of health-care providers for recording without their consent.

“Satan’s war on children is a war on God because the children belong to him.”

Children Are a Gift From God

Reciting Psalm 127:3, the pastor said, “Children are a gift from the Lord.” He later told parents that when your “little ones arrive, you are stewarding them for God.”

“This generation of leaders, the immoral people that are engaged in this massive assault on children are going to have to answer to God,” said MacArthur. He then reminded his congregation, “We’re gonna have to answer, too, for the little ones he gives us.” They are not ours, they are his so our “life commitment” is to influence them to place their faith in Christ. “That is raising your children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.”

VIDEO John MacArthur: It’s Too Late for America, but Not for the Elect

By Stephanie Martin -March 31, 2021

judgment of god

In a Palm Sunday sermon titled “Chosen for Him,” California pastor and author John MacArthur warned that America is already experiencing the judgment of God, in part for its sexual sins. Like the Old Testament Israelites and the Jews of Jesus’ day, he said, “It is too late. Judgment is already in motion.” Only for a “remnant,” or “the elect,” is that not the case, MacArthur added.

The controversial preacher, who has repeatedly pushed back against coronavirus-related church closures, spoke Sunday at Grace Community Church in Sun Valley. His main text for the hour-long sermon was the parable of the vineyard owner in Mark 12, a parable MacArthur labeled as one of judgment and destruction. In that story, the tenants kill the landowner’s servants—and even his beloved son, the heir.

The Judgment of God: Destroyed Due to Willing Unbelief

The chapter preceding that parable features Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem, as well as his cursing of the barren fig tree and his clearing of the moneychangers’ tables in the temple courts. Those acts of cursing and clearing are the opposite of what people would have expected from Jesus on Palm Sunday, MacArthur said. “The people welcomed Jesus as a king; he came as a judge. The people wanted him to bless them; he cursed them. The people thought they were the people of God; Jesus described them as the children of the devil.”

Although the people of Jesus’ generation received signs, said MacArthur, many still refused to believe (John 12:37). In the final verses of Acts, the Apostle Paul also describes willing unbelief, noted MacArthur, resulting in God’s salvation being sent instead to the Gentiles.

In his sermon, MacArthur also referenced Isaiah chapter 1 and its series of “woes.” God, as the vineyard owner, sent numerous Old Testament prophets to warn his people, but the Israelites rejected them all, and vengeance resulted.

“A generation of people can come too late to Christ,” MacArthur said, adding that it was too late for the Old Testament Israelites, who were taken into captivity in Babylon, and also too late for first-century Jews, who endured the destruction of Jerusalem and the temple in 70 AD and had to scatter. “It can be too late for every nation,” MacArthur said, pointing to Acts 14:16, which says God allows all nations to “go their own way.”

Both Isaiah’s generation and Jesus’ generation “had their opportunities,” MacArthur noted, but for both it became too late. “The temple was never rebuilt, the priesthood was never recovered. No sacrifices, no ceremonies, no Sadducees, no Pharisees, no priests, no chief priests to this day. The whole system ended.” Meanwhile, the rejected “stone”—Jesus Christ—became the cornerstone, which is “marvelous in our eyes” (Mark 12:10-11).

John MacArthur: This Also Applies Today

Next, MacArthur turned to Romans 1:18, which refers to wicked people suppressing the truth in unrighteousness. “How do you know when a nation passes the point where salvation is possible for a people?” asked the pastor. “When any society suppresses the truth continually, it can go past the point where God will hear. It can be too late.”

Citing other verses in Romans 1, MacArthur said, “God gave them over to a reprobate mind, a non-functioning mind. When you see a nation deep in sexual sin, pervasively affirming of homosexuality, and the insanity of a reprobate mind, where they make laws to criminalize righteousness and to legalize gross evil, you know that nation’s under judgment.”

For Christians, said MacArthur, our message to America is this: “It’s too late” because “we’re under judgment” already. “Judgment has been unleashed. You can hear, but not understand. You can see, but not perceive.” But, the pastor added, “It’s not too late for the elect.” Though most Americans’ hearts have been hardened by God, a remnant remains. “God has his people,” MacArthur said. “So we warn, because we don’t know who those people are, and we also offer the grace of the Gospel. That’s our calling.”

Previous Warnings Against Moral Decline

Warnings about immorality, unbelief, and the judgment of God aren’t new for MacArthur. While appearing on Laura Ingraham’s show last November, the pastor proclaimed, “America is in a moral free-fall.” He said, “This is a nation so far down in the sewer of immorality and wickedness that nothing surprises me.” A month later, MacArthur preached about the state of the world, saying it “appears to be perfectly suited for the Antichrist to come.”

In a 2012 sermon titled “Homosexuality and the Campaign for Immorality,” MacArthur said, “Romans 2 says the Law of God is written in the heart. But when man abandons God as revealed in creation; when man abandons God as revealed in conscience; when man abandons God as revealed in Holy Scripture, suppressing the truth, God judges that society. And though that society may consider itself to be wise, it is, in reality, the ultimate ship of fools. The heart becomes darkened when God is abandoned, and then God abandons the darkened heart.”

Later in that sermon, MacArthur said America’s Democratic Party has made “the sins of Romans 1” its “agenda.” He continued, “The Democratic Party has become the anti-God party, the sin-promoting party”—but then rejected the claim that he was being political. “Romans 1 is not politics,” said the pastor. “The Bible is not politics.”

As for the consequences facing America from the judgment of God, MacArthur stated: “If you want to see a picture of God’s attitude toward homosexuality, what’s going to happen when Romans 1 reaches its ultimate culmination and judgment comes, or when God does what he said he was going to do, in the writings of Moses, to nations that are defiled, that he would bring about their spewing out, here’s an illustration in Genesis 19.”

He then described how God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, adding, “That’s an illustration of how God feels about a society that affirms homosexuality and people that conduct themselves this way.” Homosexuality, MacArthur added, “is always a deadly sin, and always a defining sin, and always a damning sin.”

Sodom and Gomorrah

The Cities of the Plain

Ash and brimstone are reminders of the fiery event

Latest News from Sodom and Gomorrah

Four new photos below were sent to us by Jake Wilson, who visited the city of Admah, one of the five cities of the plain destroyed by fire and brimstone:

Above:   Multiple door openings into open chambers on a horizontal plane show us man-made construction.  Jake Wilson

The five cities of the plain have been located and the evidence is staggering.  For the first time in modern history we have found round balls of brimstone, or nearly pure sulfur, embedded in an ashen area near the Dead Sea, which show clear signs of having once been ancient building structures!

Above:  Lighter colored formations can be seen near the Dead Sea.

Above:  ziggurat stands amidst ashen ruins in Gomorrah, with darker terrain in rear.

Josephus Saw the Cities — Why Can’t We?

The cities were located in the plain, so they should not be located in the low area now covered by the Dead Sea.  These cities were well known in the first century, as Josephus said, “The traces or shadows of the five cities are still to be seen.”  If Josephus could see them, then we should be able to see them also.  The water level of the Dead Sea has fallen since the time of Josephus, so the areas Josephus saw in his day are still visible today.

Biblical Warning For All

The cities of the plain were destroyed as a warning for all that this same event will happen again one day to the wicked.  One would think God is capable of preserving this ancient lesson for us to see and to learn from.

Then the Lord rained brimstone and fire on Sodom and Gomorrah, from the Lord out of the heavens”  Genesis 19:24.  “Turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned them to destruction, making them an example to those who afterward would live ungodly”  II Peter 2:6.  (The word for “example” means an exhibit for warning.)

Analysis of the Brimstone

These sulfur balls are mostly golf ball sized, and some have burn marks all around them!  Webster’s Dictionary says that “brimstone” = sulfur.  Accordingly, we have found the absolute proof that we have finally located Sodom and Gomorrah, the cities of the plain!

Above at left is brimstone with a burned, hardened shell that has the unburned sulfur inside, and next to it is brimstone without a burned shell.  The photo at right is a shell or capsule with unburned sulfur inside.  Tiny crystals are on its surface which were formed when the sulfur was burning and was in a liquid state, then it burned out.

Above:  Located on the side of a ziggurat, this brimstone in a shell is opened to reveal the unburned sulfur inside

Each of the cities of the plain contain evidence of brimstone which God rained down upon the cities to destroy them.  The brimstone is composed of 96-98 percent sulfur, with trace amounts of magnesium which create an extremely high temperature burn.  This is the only place on earth where you can find 96 percent pure monoclinic sulfur in a round ball.  This brimstone is NOT from any type of geo-thermal activity as there is no evidence of such in the area, and geo-thermal sulfur nodules are only 40 percent pure sulfur and are of the rhombic type.

Analysis of the Ash

God rained down upon these cities was so hot that it burned the limestone blocks that were used in the construction of the cities.  The ash there today is composed of Calcium Sulfate and Calcium Carbonate which are by-products of the limestone and sulfur burning.

Everything in these cities burned and turned into ash, including the buildings themselves as the Bible says that the cities were to be destroyed also.  The Bible told us that God rained down “fire and brimstone”  When God rains down fire, it is a consuming fire, just like the time of Elijah when God sent down fire to destroy the stone altar, the limestone buildings here were totally destroyed and turned into ash.

Above:  The extremely high burning temperatures created a multi-shaded layering of ash that was formed by thermal ionization, caused by electrons repelling and attracting, creating a swirling effect in the remains.

Above:  layers of multi-shaded ash, crumble in your hand.  Dead Sea and sphinx in rear

Cities Visible in Satellite Photos

The cities are almost entirely turned into white ash, and can be seen in the satellite photographs below.

Notice each of the cities stand out from the surrounding terrain because of the white ash contained within them.  The city of Zoar was a “little one” or a newly built city that was square.  As cities grew or expanded they quickly lost this square shape.

Genesis 10:19 indicates the five cities formed the Canaanite border, thus the could not have been grouped together at the south end of the Dead Sea as popularly believed.  They form a north-south line along the Jordan/Dead Sea area.  Gomorrah is located at the base of Masada, and in 1998, additional formations were found in Jordan on the opposite of the Dead Sea from Gomorrah in the Lisan Peninsula, including a large cemetery area containing 1,000,000 graves.  The same structures as found on the Israeli side were also found on the Jordanian side –  ash, brimstone and even ceramic tile.

Man-made Formations

Man-made formations are found in the cities, including ziggurats, sphinxes, windows, arched doorways and walls resembling double Canaanite city walls.

Above:  On the left is a ziggurat and on the right a tower

Above:  ziggurat shape on raised platform composed of white material

Above:  Ninety degree angles extending out from a wall demonstrating unnatural architecture

Sphinx Shapes

Unique shapes are visible in the cities that are not found in nature, including sphinx shapes like the ones below.

Above: This sphinx formation on a raised platform is about 40 feet long and was made of a different whiter material than the surrounding platform. It may have been a worship figure or god and was made of a special material.   Masada in rear.

Above:  Another sphinx shape sits at the edge of the city.  They thought it would protect them, but it too
was consumed in the destruction of fire and brimstone.

Sulphur Crystals

The extreme heat caused unusual specimens that can be found in the cities, including the creation of sulfur crystals.  Below are photos of a large slab of crystals found by our Ark Discovery Team.

Above:  The top layer is a solid slab of sulfur crystals created by a complete layer of
brimstone underneath that was burning, then turned to a liquid, then cooled down
leaving this layer of crystals.  Approximately six feet long.

Above:  Here we can see the brimstone underneath the crystals that are on top.

Above:  another shot of the brimstone underneath and the crystals on top

Above:  In another area, we found sulfur crystals which are a remnant of the consumed brimstone.

Above:  two feet in diameter clump of crystals.  Another group was found later when I
broke open a large clump “live” on video.

Above:  more crystals resulting from the sulphur burning, turning to liquid, and cooling into crystals

Anomalies

More evidence of the extreme heat was found.

Above:  this specimen shows signs of having been melted, with the upper portion
bubbling and the lower section pooled into a solid.

Above:   Specimen that some people think resembles bone, with the marrow in the middle. This looks similar to the specimens found by Dr. Lennart Moller, author of The Exodus Case

A spear head and a cache of burned gold which is now gold salts, burned bones, jars, and tile have also been found by others who have visited the cities.

Sodom and Gomorrah PROOF (God leaves EXAMPLE for all GENERATIONS)

Different Covenant, Same God

Aug 7, 2019

Today, many believers are throwing out the Old Testament, claiming its teaching is no longer relevant because of Christ’s finished work on the cross. It’s true that “the new covenant is established on better promises” (Heb. 8:6). But what exactly changed after the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ? Did God change? Is He a God of wrath or a God of mercy? The teaching of the Bible in its fullness—from Genesis to Revelation—provides the answer.

Dove with the two Tablets of the Law

God does not change. This simple Truth gives us hope that will last eternally, for it means we can know and trust God.

TWO STORIES OR ONE?

A common misconception in the church is that the Bible is made up of two separate stories: (1) an Old Testament to discuss Israel’s history, the law, and judgment and (2) a New Testament that covers God’s love, mercy, and grace through Jesus Christ. But the entire Bible is God’s Word to us, communicating His character and revealing His Son—and if we see the Old and New Testaments as contrary rather than complementary, we miss out on the beauty of the fullness of God revealed in His Word. Every portion of Scripture points to God as our Redeemer.

From Genesis to Revelation, God reveals a single story about His wondrous love toward a rebellious people. Despite their infinite offenses against Him, He chooses to redeem them for His glory. And because He is holy, He must deal with sin so that His people can remain in communion with Him. It’s why He instituted the law. It’s why He sent deliverers to warn His people of the coming judgment. It’s why He allowed the Israelites to endure the consequences of their sin. And it’s why He sent His Son Jesus to fulfill the law, die in our place, and reconcile us to Himself.

While we traditionally think of the Old Testament God as one of judgment and wrath, He is equally loving and tender. When we look at isolated events in Scripture, such as the flood or the annihilation of Sodom and Gomorrah, we may feel a sense of doubt about God’s compassion. But what if He had allowed unbridled sin to grow? Could it be that these judgments were in reality acts of mercy—sparing the human race from itself? God’s wrath is just, and His choice to patiently withhold it in its full measure throughout the Old Testament testifies to the depths of His merciful love. Conversely, those who see the New Testament as divulging only God’s love and grace overlook God’s wrathful acts and Jesus’ harsh words and warnings in the New Testament (Acts 5:1-11Matt. 11:20-24).

In reality, throughout Scripture, the all-wise God holds these two attributes—His wrath and His love—in perfect balance. In the Old Testament, God exerts fatherly patience and compassion toward mankind (Hos. 11:4Jer. 31:3Isa. 54:10). And in the New, He pours out His burning wrath toward sin on Jesus Christ to provide atonement for a wayward people—while also promising a Judgment Day to come when those who reject His gift of grace will be held accountable (Rev. 20:11-15).

GOD HAS NEVER CHANGED

God does not change. This simple Truth gives us hope that will last eternally, for it means we can know and trust God. His Word testifies to this Truth again and again. He is unchangeable in His person—in all His attributes: “I the Lord do not change. So you, the descendants of Jacob, are not destroyed” (Mal. 3:6). He is unchangeable in His plan for redemption: “Because God wanted to make the unchanging nature of his purpose very clear to the heirs of what was promised, he confirmed it with an oath” (Heb. 6:17). He is always faithful and loving, and what He promises perfectly comes to pass for His glory and the good of all creation. For in Him “there is no variation or shadow due to change” (Jas. 1:16, ESV; see also Num. 23:19Ps. 102:24-27111:5-9; et al.). As preacher and author A. W. Tozer put it, “There will never be a change in God—no change is necessary!”

TWO COVENANTS, ONE STORY

The New Testament completes the Old Testament as, in the fullness of time, according to His plan declared in the beginning (Gen. 3:15), God Himself becomes man, Jesus the Savior appears, and suddenly God, who lives in unapproachable light, is made approachable. But it isn’t just His appearance in the flesh; it’s the fact that through His blood shed on the cross, Jesus brings peace with God to everyone who calls on His name.

The Old Testament makes plain our need for salvation, for God provided the law to guide Israel in righteousness. But as Paul explains, the law was powerless to save us or take away our sins; we could never measure up on our own (Rom. 7:9-13). So, “what the law was powerless to do . . . God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering” (Rom. 8:3). Jesus, the hope of all nations, fulfilled the covenant God made with Abraham to make him a great nation and to bless all nations through him (Gen. 12:3-4). Thus, the New Testament is the fulfillment of the old covenant and the establishment of a new covenant—God’s promise to save those who trust in and follow His Son.

THE SAME TODAY AND YESTERDAY

We must be wary of any attempt to pit the God of the New Testament against the God of the Old Testament, for there is but one God—the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Knowing we serve the same God as Adam and Eve, Abraham, David, Peter, and Paul should cause overwhelming joy in our hearts. We can count on our Lord to always be Himself. When God told Moses in Exodus 3:14, “I ᴀᴍ ᴡʜᴏ I ᴀᴍ,” He meant it. The Lord is telling you and me that His character doesn’t change; He isn’t moody, wishy-washy, capricious, or indecisive. He is just, loving, wise, present, slow to anger, merciful, gracious, and pure. His purposes are eternal and cannot be thwarted, and we can be confident His plans will never fail.

If we are to understand God’s whole plan of redemption from Genesis to Revelation, we must seek to understand His whole character and submit ourselves to His whole counsel. If ever in doubt, we must turn to His Word—for as Deuteronomy 7:9reminds us, “[T]he Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments.”

VIDEO ‘As In the Days of Noah’

By Rob Pue – June 4, 2019

A short time ago, my wife and I were having lunch in a small restaurant on a Sunday, and nearby was a lady pastor, dressed in black clergy garb and collar.  She was sitting with several couples around a large round table.  It appeared this was a group from her church, having lunch after their service.  As they ate, there was a lively discussion about “fundamentalist” Christians, and how deluded they are.

“The problem,” this lady pastor laughed, “is that so many people are stuck in the mindset of what they have always been taught.  But now we KNOW so much more.  Now we have SCIENCE, which explains so many things that were mysteries to the Bible writers.  If only these fundamentalists would open their eyes and adapt to the times!”

Here we had a modern, ultra-liberal lady pastor, (and very likely a practicing lesbian, based on other things we observed), surrounded by adoring members of her congregation, and she was instilling doubt in the minds of her flock — doubt that the Bible could be trusted, and more than that, she was actually holding Biblical Scripture up for open mockery and ridicule — along with anyone who would believe God’s Word.  Now, you might think this was maybe a Unitarian Universalist gathering, and it could have been, but it wasn’t.  It was a group of people from a MAINLINE so-called “Christian” denomination, and if I shared that denomination with you, you might be surprised.  I won’t do that here.  I’m trying to be tactful.

But this is an example of what is taking place in our world today.  As I sat nearby, overhearing this discussion, the Lord showed me an image of this lady pastor — not as she appeared there in the diner — but as she really is, in her true form: as the serpent we read about in Genesis 3.  From the very beginning, Satan’s tactics have been the same… instilling doubt in the minds of God’s people, causing them to distrust God’s Word, and scoffing at people who believe Him.   Here was a mainline protestant “pastor,” presumably entrusted to teach and instruct and rightly divide the Word of Truth… openly and proudly lying and planting the seeds of doubt in the souls she is responsible for.   Literally, there was NO DIFFERENCE between this lady and the serpent in the garden.  Both were betraying the Creator.  BOTH will reap the same reward.

As human beings, we do not know everything.  We are not omniscient.  But we have been blessed with the knowledge the Lord has seen fit to entrust us with.  By reading, studying and meditating upon God’s written Word, we have all the information we need to base our lives on this earth upon.  If we needed to know more, we can rest assured, God would have told us more.  Some things, however, will remain mysteries to us.  Some things are not for us to know.  It’s not foolish or simplistic of me to say this or accept this.  It’s simply a matter of faith.  I trust my Creator to provide for me and give me the knowledge, information, discernment, judgment and wisdom I need in this world.  As I seek to know HIM more, He reveals Himself and His ways to me.  He’s my heavenly Father, and I trust Him.  Good grief — why wouldn’t I?   And how arrogant and presumptuous to assume I know better!

This is not the topic of my message today.  But this anecdote is instructive because it is important to remember, Satan, the serpent, is still here today, and still using the same old tactics he did in the garden…and moreover, sometimes he will disguise himself as an angel of light — or, in this case, as a modern day, liberal protestant pastor.

But it’s easy to see through the devil’s disguise.  Because anytime someone tells you or tries to teach you something contrary to God’s Word, or anytime someone tries to get you to doubt God’s Word or as they will say, “think critically” — (which is code for “did God really say…”) —  you can be sure you’re dealing with a serpent.  Of course, in order to know if something you’re hearing is contrary to God’s Word, you have to already KNOW what God’s Word really says.  I’m assuming, here, that you do.

But now, let’s move on, because I want to talk about a few things we can count on, from God’s Word.  Specifically, how Jesus said when He returns, the world will be like the days of Noah and Lot.  So let’s get started, back in Genesis.  Biblical scholars place the time of Creation at approximately 4004 BC.  That makes the Earth and all things in it about 6019 years old.  And at that time,  in the beginning, when God created all things, He declared everything “Good.”

But it wasn’t long before the serpent lured mankind into sin, and this was accomplished first of all by causing Adam and Eve to doubt what God said.  One simple doubt, one lapse of faith and good judgment, brought death and destruction upon all mankind.  If you read the Bible through from cover to cover, you will see a pattern woven throughout the history of all humanity…  all of our woes, all of our sorrows, all our regrets… we bring all these things upon ourselves because we doubt what God said.  How many times did Jesus lament, with great sorrow:

“Oh ye of little faith?!”

If only we believed.  If only we had the faith of a mustard seed!  Indeed.

History moved on.  Many centuries came and went.  In Genesis, we read about Cain and Abel, Seth, Enosh, Jared, Methuselah, Lamech and finally, Noah.  Finally we come to chapter six in Genesis, and I’d like to share that with you, starting at verse 5.

“The Lord saw how great man’s wickedness on the earth had become, and that every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all the time.  The Lord was grieved that He had made man on the earth, and His heart was filled with pain.  So the Lord said, ‘I will wipe mankind, whom I have created, from the face of the earth — men and animals, and creatures that move along the ground, and birds of the air — for I am grieved that I have made them.’”

Of course, we all know what happened next.  God purified the earth through the flood, saving only eight souls alive, and we began again.  Then the Lord promised to never again destroy the earth with a flood.  He said:

“I have set My rainbow in the clouds and it will be the sign of the covenant between Me and the earth.”

It is interesting to note that the rainbow — the symbol the LORD chose as His covenant with us —  has today been hijacked by the homosexual lobby, and they’ve turned it into a sign of prideful rebellion against God and nature.

Bible scholars place the time of the flood at approximately 2304 BC, so there were approximately 1700 years between the creation of the earth and Noah’s flood.  It was about 406 years later, in approximately 1898 BC that we read another account of God’s anger.  You can read about this starting in Genesis 18… the story of Sodom and Gomorrah.   God said:

“The outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is so great and their sin so grievous…”

Yet He promised Abraham that for the sake of ten people who might be found in those cities to be righteous, He would not destroy them.  Apparently there were not even ten, because the next thing we read, the LORD sends two angels, appearing as men, to investigate the cities, and to rescue Abraham’s nephew Lot and his family.

As we read the account of the angels visiting Sodom, the way the men of the city of Sodom behave is eerily familiar.  These men are homosexuals.  They march in unison against Lot’s home.  They surround it and make demands.  They yell and scream and condemn Lot for “judging” them.  They attack and try to break down the door.  It sounds very much like the typical “gay pride parade” of today…  anytime there is a homosexual “pride” march or parade, there is always anger and hatred, there is always those among them accusing Christians of “judging” them, there is always mockery of God and Christianity, along with vile displays of perverse sensuality, and vicious disrespect of the things we hold sacred.  Because the same demonic spirit inhabits modern homosexuals as it did in the days of Lot…Satan is not that bright — he only has a couple of tricks.

Now here we are today.  As I write this message, it is literally impossible to keep up with all that is happening in our world, regarding man’s rush to self-destruction.  It’s mind-boggling and we have taken the offense of Sodom and Gomorrah to a whole new level.  Not only have we used our silly Courts to try to redefine the God-ordained institution of marriage, we have made it mandatory to steal the innocence of young children, and indoctrinate and confuse them about sexuality, and then we’ve made it illegal to counsel them to remain “straight” when they become confused!

We not only kill our own babies for convenience, we then sell their body parts for profit.  And we have leaders in power who praise child-rapists and savages who behead and torture innocent victims, while calling humble, peaceful Christians who follow God’s Word “homegrown terrorists.”   I can’t imagine it was any worse in Noah’s time or in Lot’s time, can you?

But Jesus said it would be like this.  And once again, God’s Word proves true.  There will be plenty who laugh it off, and cast doubt.  And the Bible even tells us plainly that THIS will happen.  There will be those who defiantly boast:

“Where is the promise of His coming?”

But remember how I said to identify a serpent…

We are reliving the days of Noah and Lot right now.  Look at the words of Christ in Luke 17:  “Just as it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the Son of Man.  People were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage up to the day Noah entered the ark.  Then the flood came and destroyed them all.”

He went on:

“It was the same in the days of Lot.  People were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building.  But the day Lot left Sodom, fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all.  It will be just like this on the day the Son of Man is revealed.”

“I will come again,” said Jesus in John 14:3.  Really, that is the only solution to this mess.  We don’t know when He will come, not the hour nor the day.  Only the Father Himself knows the appointed time.  But, observing the signs of the times and believing God’s Word, we know that surely, we MUST be at the very brink of eternity.

So how shall we live then?  In fear?  In dread?  Should we hide in our closets, or our churches and just let the wicked world around us burn?  No!  God’s Word tells us:

“For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present age, looking for that blessed hope and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior, Jesus Christ, Who gave Himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for Himself a people that are His very own, eager to do good works.”

We can get caught up in the mess, we can put our hope in the leaders of this world, we can hope and pray “our” candidate wins the White House next year and solves all our problems.  But we would be wrong.  Our hope, our only hope, lies in the Savior, God’s Son — just as it always has.  I’m not saying we should resign ourselves to a wicked, evil world.  Surely we are still to be salt and light here.  We’re still to stand up for God’s Word and Truth, we are to share the Gospel and, like those angels who were sent to warn Lot, rescue as many as we can from the fire.  We are to stand in the gap for the innocent, and to minister and love those the world — and the “religious leaders” — choose to pass by on the other side of the street, refusing to look upon.  We must still BE that good Samaritan.

But meanwhile, we also have a great hope.  We know God’s Word and His promises are true, and we know we need never doubt, nor should we put our trust or our hope in the temporal and vain things of man.  Our faith, our resolve and our fortitude will be greatly tested, as through the fire.  But we know, the one who endures to the end shall be saved.     The rain drops fell in Noah’s time.  The fire fell upon Sodom.  And now the Grace of God will come from the sky next, riding on the clouds, just as He departed.  Luke 21:28 tells us:

“Look up, and lift up your heads, for your redemption is drawing near!”

Any day now.  Watch… and pray.
