We stand on the brink of one of the most important elections in our lifetime. Looking back over the last four years, the American people — and particularly people of faith —have a lot to be proud of. Four years ago, Donald J. Trump announced his candidacy, and a movement was born. Millions of forgotten men and women across the nation rallied behind President Trump because they shared his belief that America could be strong and prosperous again. That was especially true of people of faith, who under the last administration saw a steady assault on our most cherished values and God-given liberties. They trusted President Trump to deliver on his promise to defend those values and liberties, and that’s exactly what he’s done.
For decades, Presidents in both parties promised to move the American Embassy in Israel. But it was President Donald Trump who kept his word, and today that embassy is finally located in Jerusalem, the capital of the State of Israel. That move helped set the stage for the recently signed Abraham Accords, in which for the first time in a quarter century, two Arab nations recognized Israel — and more are on the way.
Likewise, since day one, President Trump has stood without apology for the sanctity of human life.
On just his fourth day in office, President Trump reinstated — and later expanded — the “Mexico City policy,” which ended taxpayer funding of programs that provide or promote abortion abroad.
It was my honor to be the first Vice President to speak at the March for Life. And this past January, President Trump became the first President to address the March for Life in person.
Joe Biden and Kamala Harris support abortion-on-demand — even up to the moment of birth. They’ve called for historic increases in funding to Planned Parenthood, and even repealing the Hyde Amendment, which prevents taxpayer funding of abortions. They even blocked the Born-Alive Infant Protection Act, which would have required medical care be provided to those who survived attempted abortions.
President Trump, on the other hand, has called on Congress to end late-term abortion once and for all, and recently signed an Executive Order protecting all babies born alive.
And in perhaps my proudest moment as Vice President, I cast the tie-breaking vote in the Senate for a law that allowed states to defund Planned Parenthood — and President Trump signed the bill.
The record is clear: President Donald Trump has been the most pro-life President in American history.
And from day one, President Trump has also stood strong for the first freedom of every American — religious freedom.
We’ve offered unprecedented support to religious minorities of all faiths who have been persecuted by oppressive governments, and terrorist groups like ISIS. Under President Donald Trump, defending religious liberty has been a staple of American foreign policy.
Here at home, President Trump believes freedom of speech shouldn’t end at the front door of our churches and houses of worship — so he freed up the pulpits of America, and stopped enforcing the Johnson Amendment.
President Trump also took steps to restore the conscience rights of doctors, nurses, teachers, and religious charities.
Joe Biden, on the other hand, has said he will re-impose Obamacare mandates on religious institutions like the Little Sisters of the Poor, forcing them to violate the core tenets of their faith. It’s remarkable to think that Joe Biden would haul a group of Catholic nuns who have taken a lifetime vow of poverty and devoted their lives to serving the “least of these” back into court for the sake of his radical left-wing agenda.
By contrast, President Trump ended the assault against the Little Sisters of the Poor, and the Supreme Court voted 7-2 to end it forever.
But nowhere has President Trump’s commitment to people of faith been clearer than when it comes to our judicial system. As of Monday night, the Senate confirmed President Trump’s third nominee to the Supreme Court of the United States. Justice Amy Coney Barrett joins Justices Gorsuch and Kavanaugh, and the more than 250 conservative judges President Trump has appointed to our federal courts at every level. We’re well on our way to confirming a record 300 judges by the end of our first term, all of whom will uphold the God-given liberties enshrined in our Constitution, like the freedom of religion, freedom of speech, and the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms.
Over this past year, our nation has been through a time of testing. Now, we’re approaching a time for choosing, and the choice in this election has never been clearer. We must vote to protect the very foundation of our country. The American people know that the foundation of America is freedom, but the foundation of freedom is faith. Our freedoms are a gift from our Creator, and when we defend them, we make His work on earth our own.
So when you consider your vote this year, remember this: in this election, people of faith have no greater champion than President Donald J. Trump.
Mike Pence is vice president of the United States.
Says Buttigieg, others seek to drive biblical faith to ‘outer margins of society’
The mantle of “progressive Christianity” is being claimed by more and more people these days – some megachurches, some old-line denominations and even some politicians.
It’s roughly a gospel that regards the Bible as a good book but insists it must be reinterpreted to comport with contemporary society.
But now Decision Magazine, the publication launched by Billy Graham and still run by his organization, has unleashed a broadside against that belief system.
Its June front-page headline, “The lie of ‘progressive Christianity,’” is plastered over the image of Pete Buttigieg.
He’s the Democratic presidential hopeful who just a few weeks ago attacked the faith of Vice President Mike Pence, whose beliefs align with traditional Christian views of marriage and sexuality.
“Back in April when Democratic presidential hopeful Pete Buttigieg threw stones at ‘the Mike Pences of the world’ for their historic Christian beliefs about marriage, sexuality and sin, he drew rapt attention from the news media. He also raised the visibility of a religious movement that claims the term Christian but denies the full authority of Scripture on which ‘the faith once for all delivered to the saints’ (Jude 3, NKJV) is based,” writes the author of the article, Jerry Pierce.
“Buttigieg’s ‘progressive Christianity’ allows him to claim a commitment to the faith that Jesus Christ taught in the Gospels and still remain married to his male partner,” he wrote.
But R. Albert Mohler Jr., the president of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky, says that’s a “distortion” of God’s Word.
Buttigieg attacked Pence’s faith as “social extremism” and, in effect, told faithful evangelicals to either “affirm the new sexuality embodied in the LGBTQ movement, or affirm the full authority of Scripture and be anathema in the postmodern culture.”
Mohler told Decision that it is tempting for Christians faithful to the Bible to hunt down a “middle ground” on such issues.
But that’s not what the Bible allows.
“I have made the argument that everybody’s opinion on these matters is going to be known,” Mohler told the magazine. “It may be when you run for office. It may be when you move into the dorm. It may be when a new neighbor walks in and you end up in conversation. But the point is, there’s nowhere to hide on these issues. There are a lot of Christians who are trying to hide in the tall grass, and that’s not going to work.”
The article says Buttigieg and others of his belief system are trying to drive biblical Christians “to the outer margins of society.”
Mohler explained “the new liberalism under the ‘progressive’ banner is encroaching on more conservative churches amid a culture that paints biblical values as oppressive and bigoted.”
He told Decision that Christians don’t want to appear hateful but issues such as homosexuality cannot be defined “on the world’s terms.”
The issue has brought untold grief to the United Methodists, now caught in a fight between conservative African and Asian members and progressives in the United States.
Lay leader Mark Tooley, a Methodist and president of the Institute on Religion and Democracy, told Decision progressive Christians often affirm miracles, even the Apostles’ Creed, but deny the full authority of God’s Word.
“This is true for mainline Protestants, but also increasingly for many members of the post-evangelical left,” he told Decision.
Mohler said he is concerned that Christians eventually may be deemed as subversive as early Christians were in Rome, who were killed for their faith.
“There’s no middle ground between affirming and denying the bodily resurrection of Christ. There’s also no middle ground between defining marriage as the union of a man and a woman and saying it can be something else,” he said.
“Throughout most of American history, it’s been pretty easy to call yourself Christian,” Pence told students Saturday, according to USA Today. “It didn’t even occur to people that you might be shunned or ridiculed for defending the teachings of the Bible.”
“But things are different now,” he continued, adding that “some of the loudest voices for tolerance today have little tolerance for traditional Christian beliefs. Be ready.”
Drawing from his own personal experience during the address, Pence discussed the criticism his wife, Karen, received last year after she returned to work as an art teacher at a private elementary school that prohibited LGBT students and teachers…
Pence as right when he said the loudest voices calling for tolerance are the most intolerant of all.
They preach inclusion, but NOT the inclusion of Christians or anyone who disagrees with their perverse and sinful agenda.
The Obama administration launched a war against Christianity in the workplace, military and even private life.
The leaders of most major social media outlets have also been busy persecuting Christians and trying to silence the truth of Scripture.
(CNSNews.com) — After [hate filled] openly gay Pennsylvania State Rep. Brian Sims (D-District 182) publicly filmed, harassed, and sought to “dox” a mother and three daughters who were praying outside a Planned Parenthood abortion facility, the father of the three girls launched a GoFundMe page to support the Pro-Life Union of Greater Philadelphia.
The gofundme.com page reads, “State Rep. Brian Sims tried to Harass and Dox my Daughters. He Offered $100. Let’s Donate $100,000 to the Pro-Life Movement Instead.”
“On Holy Thursday (April 18, 2019) my wife, two teenage daughters, and their friend were peacefully praying outside of a Planned Parenthood in Center City Philadelphia when a man started yelling at them,” reads the fundraiser. “[A]fter ranting at them for several minutes, he left, and returned with his cell phone to record the above video.
“It turns out that the man is an elected official,” states the page. “Pennsylvania State Representative Brian Sims. In his video, later posted on Twitter, Rep. Sims not only attempts to shame them for praying for the unborn babies facing abortion, but offers viewers $100 if they will identify the teen girls in the video.”
“It’s bad enough that a grown man would be trying to dox three teenage girls,” reads the page. “It’s even worse that he is an elected official. I’ve got two responses to these despicable actions by ‘Representative’ Sims:
“First, Brian, if you have a problem with my wife and daughters praying outside of an abortion clinic, you can come and see me.
“It seems like you like to pick on women, teenagers, and senior citizens (see him harass a senior citizen who was praying by clicking here ). That’s shameful, and unacceptable.”
(Twitter.)
“Second, I have a challenge for the pro-life community,” reads the fundraising page. “Rep. Sims offered $100 to anyone who would identify these teenage girls for him. Instead of $100, let’s join together to donate $100,000 to the pro-life movement.”
So far, in a little over 11 hours, the fundraiser has generated more than $5,500.
During the video made by Sims, he says to the mother and the teenage girls, “Hi everyone! Representative Brian Sims here. And I am outside the Planned Parenthood in Southeastern Pennsylvania. Oh no, they’re leaving now. What we’ve got here is a bunch of protesters. Bunch of pseudo-Christian protesters who have been out here shaming young girls for being here. And so here’s the deal. I’ve got a $100 to anyone who will identify any of these three [teen girls].”
(Twitter.)
The mother then interjects, “Hi — we’re actually just praying for babies, and we believe women deserve more.”
Talking over the mother, Sims says, “But I’m going to donate to Planned Parenthood. So look, a bunch of white people standing out in front of a Planned Parenthood shaming people.”
“There’s nothing Christian about what you’re doing,” says Sims. “Nothing Christian at all about what you’re doing. Nothing Christian, or loving, or godly about what you’re doing. So I’ve got $100 to anybody who will identify who this [is].”
Sims then points his phone at a young man who is standing on the sidewalk and says, “See if you’ve got some friends out here, a $100, it would be easy if you gave me your name an address.”
The man responded with his name and address. Sims shot back without giving him the $100: “What makes you think that it’s your job to tell women what’s right for their bodies? And the truth is I’m not really asking ’cause I don’t care. Shame on you.”
Pennsylvania’s State Rep. Brian Sims (D) sends a visual
message to Vice President Mike Pence. (Twitter)
Sims apparently did not pay the young man the $100 as promised.
Sims then walked away from the man and towards the clinic. “Guys, Planned Parenthood out here faces attacks daily from people like this, from pseudo-Christians saying that they are here to somehow protect their own version of Christianity,” he states. “Do me a favor, if you’ve watched this, please consider giving $100 to Planned Parenthood, I’m going to do the same.”
Exodus 14:13,14
And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever…
2 Chronicles 20:15
This is what the LORD says: ‘Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast number, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.
To ensure that there is no misunderstanding of any kind, please say these words out loud, slowly and clearly: Michael Brown is not comparing homosexuality to pedophilia. Michael Brown is not calling homosexuals pedophiles. Michael Brown is not comparing a mutually consensual, adult relationship to an abusive, adult-child relationship.
All clear?
What I am comparing is an illogical justification of homosexuality that can just as easily be used to justify pedophilia.
Please allow me to explain.
In the past, I have demonstrated how advocates of “man-boy love” have used the identical arguments that gay activists have used, specifically:
1) Pedophilia is innate and immutable.
2) Pederasty is richly attested in many different cultures throughout history.
3) The claim that adult-child sexual relationships cause harm is greatly overstated and often completely inaccurate.
4) Consensual adult-child sex can actually be beneficial to the child.
5) Pederasty should not be classified as a mental disorder, since it does not cause distress to the pederast to have these desires and since the pederast can function as a normal, contributing member of society.
6) Many of the illustrious homosexuals of the past were actually pedophiles.
7) People are against intergenerational intimacy because of antiquated social standards and puritanical sexual phobias.
8) This is all about love and equality and liberation.
Returning to the first argument, namely, that pedophilia is innate and immutable, I wrote in 2014:
“In case you’ve missed the latest headlines, we are now being told with increasing certainty that pedophilia is innate and immutable . . . .”
In keeping with this, there are now academic papers with titles like:
“Potential Implications of Research on Genetic or Heritable Contributions to Pedophilia for the Objectives of Criminal Law.”
And there are discussions on psychology forums asking, “Is Pedophilia Genetic?”
You say:
“But what does this have to do with God, who is mentioned in the title to your article?”
The answer is simple. The first openly gay presidential candidate, Pete Buttigieg, attributes his homosexuality to the Lord, recently directing these comments to Vice President Mike Pence:
“If you’ve got a problem with who I am, your problem is not with me. Your quarrel, sir, is with my creator.”
In other words, according to Buttigieg:
“God made me gay, and if you don’t like that, your issue is with God.”
According to Buttigieg, when he was younger – 15, 20, or even 25 years-old – if there was a pill he could have taken not to be gay he would have taken it instantly. Now, however, he is thrilled with his life, especially because of his “marriage” to his partner Chasten.
Personally, I don’t doubt that he and Chasten care deeply for each other. And I don’t doubt that, in certain ways, they have enriched each other’s lives. Most importantly, I don’t doubt that, to the core of his being, Buttigieg believes he was born gay and cannot change.
That is not my issue, nor am I his personal judge and jury.
My issue is the claim that:
“If I feel a certain way and I cannot change, then this is how God made me.”
That’s the exact same logic a pedophile can use:
“I never asked for these desires. I tried to change and cannot. This must be the way God made me. If you don’t like it, your issue is with God.”
You say:
“But you’re comparing apples with oranges. First and foremost, Buttigieg and Chasten are consenting adults and their relationship is non-abusive, based on love.”
Then why bring up the “born that way” argument? Why say, “God made me this way?” Why not just say, “My relationship to my partner is just as valid and good as any heterosexual relationship on the planet?”
That’s my whole point.
If we argue that a certain disposition or feeling or attraction or desire must be attributed to God because it is so deep-seated, then we open up a Pandora’s box of confusion.
Many married heterosexual men struggle with adulterous thoughts and desires. Can they say, “But this is how God made me!”? Should their wives just accept that this is how they are wired?
What about those who, to the core of their being, struggle with pride? Or anger? Or greed? Or jealousy?
What does this prove? It proves that we are a fallen, broken race in need of a Savior.
And what about the claims of a violent gene or a selfish gene or an obesity gene?
Do we therefore celebrate violence, selfishness, or obesity, if, in fact, they are genetic? Or, if we have these alleged genetic tendencies, do we work harder to overcome them?
You protest once again:
“You just don’t get it! All these things you listed, from adulterous thoughts to pride, anger, greed, violence, and obesity, are all bad. But same-sex love is fine. It’s just traditional society and religion that reject it.”
Of course, I differ with your assessment of homosexual relationships, but once again, you’re missing the point.
If same-sex love is beautiful and something to celebrate, then don’t attribute it the way you were born. Don’t say:
“This must be right because it’s innate and immutable.”
Unfortunately for gay activists, much of their movement was founded on the argument that “I was born this way and can’t change,” making homosexuality the new black.
Now that this argument is being debunked scientifically and anecdotally, the very foundations of gay activism are being shaken, including the argument that “God made me gay.”
But either way, to attribute all of our deepest, most ingrained desires to God is to make a massive mistake, blaming the Creator for the fallen condition of the creation.
The bad news is that, by nature, we have some deep moral problems. The good news is that Jesus can redeem us.
And Mayor Pete, if you have a problem with what I’ve written, your quarrel, sir, is not with me. It’s with God.
Exclusive: Jason & David Benham blast ultimate goal of leftist
April 7, 2019
Abraham Lincoln once said, “The philosophy of the school room in one generation will be the philosophy of government in the next.”
We’ve seen that to be true, which is why USA Today’s recent story grabbed our attention last week: “So Yale Law School endorses anti-religious bigotry now?”
Oh boy – what now?!
The story basically describes the digressive nature of the progressive movement’s goal to silence freedom of speech and slay freedom of religion. That’s why the ceiling consistently becomes the floor with these folks. First they want acceptance of their ideas, then appreciation, then celebration, then participation – and if you choose not to join the revolution, they’ll marginalize you, demonize you, and eventually criminalize you if they can (wow, that was a mouthful).
Because you can’t have free speech and free religion if you want to destroy American values, you need government coercion; and to get that, you need a crop of future leaders fully indoctrinated to hate freedom of speech and religion (well, at least freedom of speech and religion that’s different from theirs).
The article reported the Yale Federalist Society scheduled an event in February with the Alliance Defending Freedom, a premier legal organization with nine Supreme Court wins in the last seven years. But before the event took place, over 20 campus organizations condemned the group as “homophobic and hateful” because it has defended religious freedom – and won – on multiple occasions. Their most recent victory included the Colorado cake baker.
And, like a set of perfectly aligned dominoes, the dean of the school fell directly into line with the protestors. By late March, the school had adopted new policies that went even further than the protestor’s demands. Samuel Adkisson, himself a Yale grad, summed it up like this:
Under the guise of nondiscrimination, Yale Law School has announced it will blatantly discriminate. A student is barred from aid if she works at a synagogue that gives preference to Jewish applicants, but not if she works at an organization that peddles anti-Semitism yet hires all comers. A graduate is blocked from funding if she works for the Christian Legal Society, but not if she works for the Freedom from Religion Foundation. And a graduate is not eligible to receive loan assistance if she is a professor at Brigham Young University, but is eligible if she works for Berkeley.
Nice.
There are a couple key points I’d like to point out.
First, Lincoln’s quote was spot on – kids in college today do become leaders in government tomorrow. So it matters where we are sending our kids and what they are being taught.
Dr. Elton Trueblood, a former chaplain for Stanford and Harvard in the early 20th century, was asked what it would look like for Christians in America in the 21st century. His response was eerily prophetic: “By the year 2000, Christians in America will be a conscious minority surrounded by an arrogant, militant paganism.”
He saw the direction progressives were taking our colleges, and his discerning reply was our warning. Now it’s here.
Second, those saying all we need today is more “conversation and dialogue” should understand that it requires shared values and common goals with those to whom we converse to move forward as a society. But that’s not what the progressive left wants.
A traffic analogy works well here. Traffic flows in America, despite the cars we drive, what we listen to on the radio or think about other drivers, because we all have the shared value that red means stop and green means go – and we all have the common goal of making it to our destination safely.
But if people don’t share those values or goals traffic would quickly become unsafe – it would turn into chaos. And that’s the ultimate goal of the left.
Which brings me to my last point. God is not the author of chaos and confusion, the devil is. At the bottom of this struggle on college campuses (not to mention mainstream media and Hollywood) is a spiritual battle between good and evil, right and wrong.
It’s not a Republican/Democrat thing, conservative/liberal thing, black/white thing, citizen/immigrant thing, or any other thing the left decides to foment. It’s a spiritual battle that truly rages behind the scenes.
Why do the nations rage
and the peoples plot in vain?
The kings of the earth set themselves,
and the rulers take counsel together,
against the LORD and against his Anointed, saying,
‘Let us burst their bonds apart
and cast away their cords from us.’ (Psalm 2:1-3)
Matthew Henry, the 18th-century Bible commentator, said of Psalm 2 that people throughout history constantly seek to cast off “the bands of conscience and the cords of God’s commandments.”
That’s why conscience and conviction are in the cross-airs of the radical Left. It’s spiritual, even if they don’t know it.
And Revelation 12:17 reveals that Satan is behind it all:
Then the dragon became furious with the woman and went off to make war on the rest of her offspring, on those who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus.
Those who choose to live by their conscience and conviction and honor God’s moral commands in today’s America find themselves directly in opposition to the dragon of Revelation – Satan himself.
Those on the radical left have no idea the spirit under which they are operating, so we are hitting our knees in pray more than ever for them to be set free.
Because the good news of the Gospel is still the good news – that Jesus defeated the devil at the Cross and is clothed with resurrection power.
Exclusive: Jesse Lee Peterson blasts left for attacking people for telling truth
April 7, 2019
America is a Christian nation, but that fact has been under attack by the children of the lie. The left has pushed immorality to the point we have so-called “same-sex marriage” and “transgender” nonsense trampling the rights of Christians. “People of color” and “women” join the attack on freedom of speech and our rights to self-defense. Good people are accused of “hate speech,” punished for telling the truth in public – or even in private!
Christians, men and especially white people are under attack. Christians are forced to bake “gay cakes” for homosexuals pretending to get “married.” Men are falsely accused of “sexual harassment,” “sexual assault” or of being “child molesters” – and they’re not allowed to say the women are lying! Children are abused by women, even killed in the womb, and the man can’t do anything to protect his children. White people are called “racist” just for loving their country, for telling the truth about “people of color,” or for standing up for white people.
A decade ago, the fallen messiah Barack Obama claimed America is “no longer a Christian nation.” He pushed homosexuality and transgender madness, and took up for Muslims at every opportunity. He was the first “feminist” president, and loved abortion.
Obama attacked whites and police, making blacks feel justified in their anger and false victimhood. He brought Black Lives Matter to the White House – a group worse than the KKK, founded by black lesbians, homosexuals and white “social justice warriors.” They killed the souls of black people by pushing anger, and their attacks on police resulted in an increase in murders around the country.
You cannot be a Christian and support the Democrat Party. After Obama, they’ve only grown more radical, electing far-left Muslims, homosexuals, and women – in order to attack a real men, President Trump. Donald Trump represents everything they hate – the goodness of America. The straight, white, conservative, Christian man of power built this country. But leftists don’t want America to be made great again, so they go after all males, white people, and Christians in order to take down Trump.
This week, they went after Democrat Joe Biden – Obama’s vice president. They accused him of sexual harassment with no proof. For years, Biden openly kissed and tried to flatter women and little girls in front of cameras – never trying to hide it. But now people impulsively judge him as “creepy,” watching suggestively edited videos that play on the imagination and people’s anti-male brainwashing. In the old days, men warned you to believe none of what you hear, and only half of what you see.
But Biden as a hated “white male” is not welcome in the Democrat Party. They want a woman or a “person of color” to run for president.
Men have been trained by women to show affection, to worship women, make them feel special – but only with “consent.” Meanwhile, women throw themselves on men, hug and kiss men without permission, sexually assault them, and even rape men and young boys. Even Christians join in on this double-standard, in which every man is a suspected “rapist” or “child molester.” At our recent Men’s Forum at my nonprofit BOND, a home contractor said he wears a camera on himself all day to prevent being accused!
The city of Chicago recently elected a black lesbian for mayor. She’s pretending she will end the corruption in the city. But she herself is morally corrupt – she has no values. She’ll go after the Christians, white people and men, and only further destroy the city.
There are homosexuals who are stuck in that lifestyle but know it’s wrong. But this new mayor-elect, Lori Lightfoot, is promoting wrong as right. Similarly, Pete Buttigieg, a homosexual Millennial mayor of South Bend, Indiana, is trying to run for president. The corrupt liberal media love him for being shamelessly homosexual. The mayor of Dallas, Annise Parker, is a lesbian with a pretend “wife.” Females on the Supreme Court and in Congress have conducted so-called same-sex “weddings.”
In Ireland, they have a homosexual prime minister who brought his gay “partner” to America for an official event with Vice President Mike Pence. This man, Leo Varadkar, gave a slap in the face to Christians, speaking against “discrimination.” The radical homosexuals are allowed to discriminate against Christians, but not the other way around. There is no freedom.
Christians have lost their countries because Christians are no longer any different from the world. They believe that they can be born again of God and continue to sin. The men are controlled by women – they kiss up to women in their personal lives and in politics. The whites are afraid to tell the truth to the people of color. The Christians have anger in their hearts, playing God – there’s no love in anger, but only fear, doubt, worry and insecurity. Christian parents are sacrificing their children to corrupt schools where kids come out liberal, turning away from God.
If you want your country to be right, you have to be right. As Christ said, you must become perfect as the Father in heaven is perfect.
